    the .338 lapau has the claim to fame for being the first round specifically made for the use of long range super accurate purposes, like what a sniper would need.

    i was gonna say a bit more on the 30-06 drop too ;) my 7mm (140 gr. bullet) pushes ~ 48" drop at 500

    our local gun dealer has a few .50 cals for sale, plus ammo.....$5K for one of those bad boys. :eek:
