Both cars are great looking and I could see why you would be torn between two loves.
The new car will have fewer problems because it is new. You get to drive it rather than spend time fixing it. On the other
hand, all the how to fix it knowledge you got on the Fox will not be much help. You have to learn all over again on the S197.
The fox is probably paid for, and the S197 may require car payments (Ouch!!!). Having no car payment is definitely a good thing.

your fox vert is sweet and to me has more character than the s197 and with age the fox just gets better and better IMHO, but do want you want.

everyone and their grandmother has an s197, they all look and sound the same, and they are all too heavy, especially verts. keep the fox.

That is a pretty righteous S197. I think it just comes down to how attached to the Fox you are. From a technical standpoint, the S197 makes sense in every way, but some of us just love our Foxes too much.
Edit: This may not be the best place to find a good opinion, half these jokers will never buy a new Mustang!
You should also poll in the S197 forums, and average the results, haha.

guys who drive s197s are obviously gonna say get rid of the fox... guys in 5.0 are gonna say keep it.
how bout you make a poll asking how many in each forum change their own oil or do their own work to their cars? then average it out, and pick whichever group you best fit into.

I remember several threads of guys asking if they should get Fox A or SN95 B. Post the same questions in both forums and the 4.6 Talk guys 75% said get the Fox and in 5.0 Talk 75% of the guys said get the SN95

Now riceslayer, I see Fox guys once again saying get it over the Fox.
I dont understang why S197 owners are ghey, and sure alot of them pay to have the oil changed cause of warrenty issues. But just as many do their own maintenence and parts install in their cars.
Stick to bashing imports, not other Stangs just cause you cant afford a newer one ..... or did you just get outruned by a V6 S197?

If you car had the old body kit, I would trade it in a flash, but now that you have stalker and the cobra bumper I say keep it. Your fox is really nice.

wanna quote me where i said s197 owners are gay? idk about where you are but where im from every s197 i see looks and sounds the same and all its mods are done by some shop, and the owner cant figure out how to put a cold air intake on his own car. but at least its got that sweet carroll shelby signature or sick rims...
i have way more respect for an import guy who does all his own work on his 3000 dollar civic and then kills 500hp mustangs than for some dude who buys a GT/CS or for an extra 10 grand just so he can have a sweet factory installed cold air intake and a short throw shifter... but opinions are opinions i guess...
and for the record, last year my fox was bone stock with gears and exhaust, and it ate up my friend's 06 gt, so idk what the v6 s197 bs was about lol.
