with a 1998 cobra? whats the power rating on them? apparently its around 305hp but im not 100%, could someone confirm this? the reason i ask is i will be driving this mustang when i turn 19 with around a years driving experience, but i heard they are wild in the wet? its a really cheap 98 cobra manual i found, and its either that or pay an extra 500 for a 99 V6... whats the pro's and cons of a V8 in britain?

i'd say yes, the cobra is not a car for a comparitive beginner..

even a 4.6 may be a handfull, especialy if you've never driven RWD before.. the cobra is about 305 BHP but thats under rated, and has a lot of torque..

i was thinking this before, but its too good a price to miss... its also fully loaded, its an awesome amount of car for the money, i wont be gunning it, i want a car that i would be scared to drive to its potential. but this may just be a lil too much car for the experience i have...

that never happens.... you always end up using all the power a car has..

    same thing with bikes....

learn something new every day :nice:

i have no clue as to why its so cheap, which is why i have to inspect it on sunday. if by the off chance it is a really good example for its age though i would need to know whether im diving in at the deep end with over 300 horses aged 19

Its all in how you drive it, its not like twisting the throttle on a 1000cc sportbike but it does have some snap. Just take time getting used to the car you will be fine.

i will have to get used to it in carparks and things before i drive it properly in the streets, especially being on the left side of the car instead of the right, and rainy days are gonna worry me also... i cant drive it on the streets till december when i turn 19 anyway so i will have enough time to get used to the car before i take it on the roads. its just too good of an offer to miss.

as most of you know, i bought the cobra around 5-6 months ago now, and am loving every second of it :) had a few little faults to put right but nothing a little bit of TLC cant fix.

need to get it looking PERFECT though, it generally looks ok, but its a 10 year old car and i know that, put a little bit of money into it and it will be awesome :D
