So, the new engine arrived this afternoon !!! :D
Best day ever, until I noticed that a whole bunch of parts like carb, pulleys, pcv valve, ... won't fit ....

but anyway, problems for later on

The opportunity was there to check if the Timken 202FF bearing will fit the new flywheel ...
It's supposed to be a good bearing when installing a 4cyl T5 on the V8.

:notnice: :bang:

Pic1 is the new engine with current installed bearing for a V8 T5
Pic2 you can see the 202FF next to the bearing from a 2.3 engine.

The 202FF bearing is way bigger then the original V8 one, altough the trans input shaft (4cyl) diameter matches the 202FF.
It looks like there is an extra bushing around the bearing in the V8 flywheel, can I remove that and procede to installing the 202FF? (I'm not sure the 202FF will fit the flywheel, it's a bit smaller I think)

Or maybe I should try to fabricate a custom bushing and make the 4 cyl bearing fit in the flywheel?

I'm sure some guys on this forum did the swap, if only they could help me out on this one.

thanks,

Phil.
