Should I go x-pipes w/o cats or h-pipes w/o cats on my 97 cobra? I was told the h-pipe had a more muscle car sound while the x-pipe is more of higher pitch Indy car sound. Is this true? If I go with the h-pipe, should I just keep my oem h-pipe and just cut off the cats? I have Flowmaster 40s on the back end. Let me know what you think!

with flowmasters you will be more happy with the sound of an o/r h. Buy an aftermarket one vs cutting the cats off of the stocker. You can go x but like you stated the sound will be very raspy with chambered mufflers.

Thanks, I believe I will go with the h-pipe. It seems to lead to the sound that I want. Thanks again.
