2010 Roush Ford Mustang Announced

2010 Roush Ford Mustang

The debut of a new Ford Mustang always seems to grab the attention of fans worldwide–Roush Mustangs are no exception to the rule.  Just this morning, Roush Performance unveiled its latest 2010 Mustang variant, the 2010 427R Mustang, at their Livonia, MI assembly plant.  The basics behind the beast are much the same as some of the prior Roush Mustangs, and we know well enough the 427R is no stranger to power.  The blown 4.6L powerplant is set to produce 435 horsepower and about 400 lb-ft of torque courtesy of an upgraded intake and enhanced cooling system.  Outside, the 2010 Roush 427R appears to have the known features expected on any styled Roush product.  Side stripes, a new front fascia, front splitter, rear fascia, side sills, a three-piece rear wing, and 18-inch (20″ optional) wheels all round out the appearance changes to the 2010 Mustang.  Down under, you’ll find the same quality underpinnings found on other Roush editions: new springs, shocks, and sway bars.  Keep reading to catch all the details in the official Press Release from Roush and of course, to get a better look at the car thanks to the eye candy we have in store for you! Drifting World Record set in 2010 Ford Mustang

2010 Ford Mustang - drift record set

Drifting: once a questionable spin in automotive motorsports–is now one of the most popular and neck-turning events around. The most exciting news recently is that Vaughn Gittin Jr. has (unofficially) broken the world’s longest drift record…in a 2010 Ford Mustang GT! Just a few months ago, Gittin and 0-60 Magazine toured the United States and landed on the track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway where the drifting magic happened. Lighting up a set of Falken Azenis ST-155 tires, Gittin and the 2010 Mustang surpassed the prior drifting distance record of 4,137 feet by posting up 6,285 feet (1.19 miles) in just over 2 minutes of run time. Amazing! Now all we need to see is the Guinness folks recognize the feat and watch the video again…and again……and again. Enjoy! Continue Reading →

A Classic Mustang with a Shocking Twist

Electric 1965 Ford Mustang

Ford just got beaten to the punch in the “green” Mustang race. OK, well, it’s not a new Mustang model designed to go a step beyond the rumored EcoBoost powerplant (rumored to land in the Mustang in the near future)—it’s an electrified twist on a pony car from the days of old. The powertrain in this 1965 Ford Mustang has been replaced with two electric motors, there are a few extra gauges in the cluster, and of course, it has a new battery: 2,268 power cells resting underhood where a Ford shortblock V8 used to reside. Crafted by the team at Duke’s Garage in Westminster, CO, this antique Mustang just got a shocking shift into a new era. Keep reading to get all the background and details on this one-of-a-kind Ford Mustang.

The 2010 Ford Mustang Price is Right

2010 Ford Mustang in Dallas

Not long ago, we let loose some of the pricing and option details on the refreshed 2010 Ford Mustang, and now with the way the economy is staggering, what better timing could Ford have with the printing of their Mustang window stickers?!  This price war is somewhat a throwback to 45 years ago when the Mustang became the crowned king of the pony car wars and has upheld legendary respect ever since.  By the numbers, we see the 2010 Mustang coupe will be priced at $20,995 and the Camaro LS is marked at $22,995.  Game.  The base model Challenger, the SE, will sell for $22,545.  Set.  A comparable foreign competitor (you know, the one sold by the company that will let us give the car back if we lose our jobs) such as the Hyundai Genesis coupe will start at about $22,000.  Match.  No matter how it’s sliced, the Mustang has the pony car price war won hands down.  Even the more aggressive trims are still favorable in cost against the competition: the 2010 Mustang GT will post a sticker of $27,995 against the Camaro SS sticker of $30,995, and the Challenger R/T boasting a price of $30,545.  Need we say more?  We don’t think so, so we’ll happily share a few shots of the 2010 Mustang in Dallas from just moments ago.  Ford also has something so say, so check out their official Press Release to get the full scoop.
