One of the better 2015 Ford Mustang realistic renderings

We have all seen plenty of what is to be the next Ford Mustang in several artistic sketches and renderings.  Up until now, most have seemed to be far-fetched, edgy, and a little too “bought in” to the Evos concept debuted some time ago.  This one, by Josiah LaColla, seems to show some of the more realistic and tastefully applied changes we’re rumored to see in the 2015 Mustang.

Upcoming Ford Mustang rendered from latest spy shots

Remember those spy shots of the 2014 Ford Mustang that floated around the web last week?  Yeah, they didn’t really show too much more than we had already expected, but what’s cool about what we’ve scooped up this week, is that the team over at CarBuzz has taken those same images and refactored them in a totally slick “what if” rendering.

Ford Mustang set for an official New Zealand launch

It looks like the global marketing campaign for the upcoming Ford Mustang model is continuing to take shape, with more and more countries around the planet getting the new Mustang, in “official” distribution capacity.  Earlier this week, Ford announced the next generation Mustang is definitely a go for the major Asia Pacific markets of Australia and New Zealand.  Aside from the fact it will definitely be a right-hand drive configuration, Ford didn’t really let much else out of the bag past its already known “One Ford” global marketing mix of vehicle offerings.

Even Mustang enthusiasts down under have loads of speculation about power plant options, with the words EcoBoost and direct-injection turbo passing across the scene.

Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary countdown

With the Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary inching its way closer as we creep into August, Ford has started to spark up the interest for the anticipated event with a new video series, aimed at sourcing the vast community of Mustang enthusiasts around the world.

The “Ford Mustang Countdown” campaign is a weekly online series which will feature video clips highlighting moments in the Mustang timeline, starting with the initial launch of the 1962 Ford Mustang 1 concept.

In the clip following, you get to see one such enthusiast, Zach King, put together a short film exhibiting two RC Mustangs in a model city chase scene.  Pretty well done, at that, actually!  Other clips are going to cover a great deal of Mustang legacy, so be sure to keep your eyes open for future video features.

Hertz and Penske Racing Ford Mustang GT

Think you are ready for another rent-a-racer Ford Mustang?  Good thing, because the Ford and Hertz & Penske Racing alliance has resulted in one hot thing already this summer–a sporty Mustang GT to take up honors as the latest addition to the Hertz Adrenaline Collection.

The Hertz Penske Mustang GT can be found for rental at select US airport rental locations, and includes a healthy amount upgrades from the base late model Mustang trim.  Let’s start with a quad-tip exhaust system, a tuned ECU, 3.55 gears out back, and Brembo braking at all 4 corners.  Not bad…at all.  And of course, the Coyote 5.0-liter engine is underhood, cranking out an underrated (due to performance enhancements) 420hp.

Is this the final 2015 Ford Mustang exhaust note?

Renderings, concepts, spy shots, and now even a small video of the 2015 Ford Mustang has seeped out from the 50th Anniversary cracks.  This latest clip sounds off the low-end tones of what’s most likely the 5.0 Coyote we have come to know and love in today’s Mustang, and while we don’t get any high RPM revs or event a blip of spirit, we can say we’re plenty pleased with the throaty tone from what is highly speculated to be the 2015 Mustang to be.  Follow the jump for the video.

LateModel Resto Project Coyote Ford Mustang is alive

We were the first to do it right.  There’s no hacked-up Ford Mustang with a Coyote power plant with regard to ‘Built to Cruise’ in any way.  We had help from a plethora of aftermarket partners to champion the car project, and there have been a few other players out there who’ve started their own swaps based upon pioneering ventures witnessed.  LateModel Restoration is one of our long-time partners in the Mustang realm and they now have their own swap project near completion, ready for public consumption.  Their 1997 Cobra Mustang is the latest swap they have tackled and there’s a video posted out there with some captioned details about what all they have put into it.  So be sure to check out their video (link below) and shout out to let us know what you think!

Ford Racing stretches the 2014 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet

Well, that didn’t take long…just a couple of months after announcing the 2014 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet would get a few updates, Ford Racing has already put a test on paper with a development prototype at the South Georgia Motorsports Park in Adel, GA.  Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords magazine and Ford Racing engineers were on-hand to take the 2014 Cobra Jet down the strip to help collect direct and subjective data to help bolster the track talent of this quarter mile monster of a 2014 Mustang.

A few noteworthy, although not earth-shattering, changes from the 2013 Cobra Jet include: a lighter body, electric power steering, an updated roll cage, enhanced Recaro FIA racing seats, improved suspension geometry, and a parachute mount.  Additionally, the 2014 Cobra Jet will get two new hues for views: Gotta Have It Green as well as a Matte black.
