Each year, a collection of street-proven Ford Mustang specimens convene in Bowling Green, KY to sort out just who will win the title “King of the Street”.  With several 8-second Mustangs on-hand and 7,000 horsepower rumbling about, these competitions are always a spectacle not to be missed.  AmericanMuscle teamed up with 5.0 Mustang editors Steve Turner, Mike Johnson, and KJ Jones in order to select & settle on a winner.  Judgment was based upon six categories: Ride & Drive, Horsepower, Fit & Finish, Engineering, Drag Race, and Popular Vote.  So, how did the competition go?   Who won?  Keep reading to find out more (video inside)!

Looks like the team over at AmericanMuscle has put on another fantastic Ford Mustang car show this year.  With a few thousand people buzzing through, over 500 Mustangs on hand, and almost $15,000 raised for charity, the annual AmericanMuscle car show was  a huge success.

What do you get when you start with a base Ford Mustang coupe in stock form and turn it over to AmericanMuscle (AM) & Swarr Auto?  You end up with a 2005 V6 Mustang that gets tweaked beyond imagination in order to see just how many horses the little sixer-equipped pony car can pump out.  The guys over at AM have compiled a series of videos to capture just what they’ve done in order to see where they start, what makes the biggest impact, and where they end up with this aftermarket project.  The first video in the series features Dave Kaeck (from AM) kicking things off at Swarr Auto with a baseline dyno run to get the raw numbers, plus a first look at the huge variety of parts being installed on the ’05 Legend Lime V6.

The folks at AmericanMuscle have teamed up with a (local) Philadelphia radio station to give away a brand new 2009 Ford Mustang to a lucky winner. There’s a catch, however. The “Live in it to Win It” promotional contest will challenge selected contestants to be the “Survivor” and last longer than the competition. Sounds simple, right? Four people are going to spend every moment with three others in the Mustang until but one remains. We aren’t too sure about this one, but we know this: the love of the Ford Mustang is a powerful thing and people will go to great lengths to be the owner of one. The Ford Mustang. Racing. Good friends. Grilling out. This short list is quite possibly the ultimate focus of the typical blue-blooded Mustang fan.
