LateModelRestoration fuel system for 87-97 Ford Mustang

It’s no secret that the Ford Mustang was bred to produce power and performance.  But what commonly gets overlooked is the importance of pristine and reliable fuel delivery from the tank to the engine bay.  All too often, Mustang enthusiasts bitten by the infamous “mod bug” find themselves slapping on bolt-ons and other aftermarket pieces, expecting ginormous gains in power…but neglecting the most critical piece to the combustion process: fuel supply.

So what does a Mustang owner do when the time comes to either replace (due to fault) or upgrade (due to power demand) existing fuel components?  They hit up the aftermarket for parts, tech advice, and satisfactory service from their suppliers of choice.  In this case, LateModelRestoration is the source to chase down for replacing your 1987 through 1997 Mustang fuel system.  They’ve got all the parts, hardware, and technical expertise to get you comfortably set up with exactly what you set out to accomplish.

Don’t just take our word for it–head over to LateModelResto yourself and see just what they have to offer to get you set up properly!

Tribute 2013 Shelby GT500 hit the block

Remember earlier this week, we told you the Barrett-Jackson auction would have a host of Ford Mustang specimens up for grabs?  Well, one in particular caught our eye earlier this afternoon.  A one-off special edition 2013 Shelby GT500 Mustang hit the block and ended up ticking out a healthy$150,000 closing price.  This dollar amount benefits a good charitable cause, so it’s not just another high-priced Mustang sale all for naught.  This car is also signed by Ford CEO Alan Mulally as well as Bill Ford Jr, and Edsel Ford.

2012 Steeda Stampede flashback

Just a couple weeks ago, several Ford Mustang fans of the Steeda variety (amongst other enthusiasts, of course) were able to get together at the Pompano Beach headquarters of Steeda Autosports, in tandem with the Fun Ford Weekend at Palm Beach International Raceway.  Well over 100 Mustangs were on-site, and several hundred fans & spectators alike were basking in the fabulous Fords to behold.

In addition to the 13th Annual Steeda Stampede’s normal festivities, much of the FFW action overflowed and was taken up by many fans in attendance.  Prize giveaways, a Ford Mustang triathlon, and of course, some great 1320ft passes down the straightaway!

Keep reading for a full breakdown from Steeda, including pictures, a video, and more…

Polish Ford Mustang club inspires Brazilian cousins

If you weren’t already aware, it should come as no surprise the Ford Mustang is a completely global phenomenon…and will continue to be, so long as petrol-powered automobiles are permitted to breathe on the planet’s surface.  Over in Poland, local Mustang fanatics managed to pump out and awesome  fan tribute to the legendary pony car.  Great, right?  Just a nice tribute video montage–no one’s ever done that before, right?  Tongue-in-cheek aside, the video was a total hit and has inspired other parts of the world, this time in South America, to compile their on own fan tribute to the car.  These Brazilian Mustang mad-hats ensured that every generation was featured and also gave props to several sponsors making it all possible.

2013 Ford Mustang ad invokes the innermost

On the fringes of the official Ford Mustang customizer web app release, Ford has also debuted its latest installment in the 2013 Ford Mustang marketing campaign to keep everyone pumped-up.  The 2013 Mustang is going to capitalize upon what has made the Ford Mustang ever-so-popular since its inception back in the mid-60s; its customizability.

The video spot we have inside for you is set to release during the Daytona 500 this weekend (although, it should have been debuted during the Super Bowl, we think), so there are plenty of chances for Ford fans to get wind of what’s coming next.  What is unique in this advertisement is the fact Ford has opted to show how well the 2013 Mustang connects to its ownership base, more so than bragging on its 420hp V8 or the fact the car is coming up on its 50th Anniversary–a wise move, we think, since Americans are going to easily face $4+ per gallon of gas this spring/summer.  People are going to be focused on how a car fits them, not how it might drain their pocketbooks…

2011 – 2012 Ford Mustang throttle body by BBK

Brothers Performance is pumped to announce the all-new BBK Power Plus series throttle body for the 2011 Ford Mustang and the 2012 Ford Mustang.  This piece is a definite way to bolster performance for the late-model 3.7L V6-powered Mustang in under 20 minutes with the use of mere hand tools.  Don’t worry about having to scrounge up supplemental fitment & parts, either–BBK ensures these throttle bodies match up plug-and-play style for an easy installation.  Also, there are no TPS voltage settings to tweak, which means this piece is simply installed and you can hit the street and/or strip right afterward because there is absolutely no tuning required!

Brothers Performance also carries the 2011 Ford Mustang and 2012 Ford Mustang GT and 2012 Boss 302 version of this same throttle body, keeping the new Coyote crowd appeased with miles of smiles.

Be sure to check out the V6 dyno sheet and the short video clip after the hop!
