ROUSH Drag Racers Round Out NMRA Season

ROUSH® Drag Racing Team

Reflecting back on a trying and rewarding 2008 NMRA season, the ROUSH Drag Racing Team saw just how well they rolled through adversity and finished up a very successful season. Beech Bend Raceway hosted the final event for the NMRA racers and as soon as the smell of high-octane fuel graced the air, the ROUSH team geared for action–and action they received. With almost everyone on the team trying to conquer challenges with parts breakages and other technical issues, they kept their heads up and pushed forward into the competition after wrenching through the first few days of drag racing.  Susan Roush-McClenaghan took the wheel and entered the battle for the title in the Performance Modular Muscle class. We’ve talked about the ROUSH racing teams (both drag and road) all year and are happy to let you in on the details from the season finale. Keep reading to see how Susan fared in the season-closing event!

ROUSH Releases Details on P-51B Ford Mustang

ROUSH P-51B Ford Mustang

Following closely to the hoof prints of the ROUSH P-51A, ROUSH Performance keeps the legend of victory alive and well with the debut of the 2009 P-51B Mustang.  This aviation-inspired Ford Mustang is set to take on the enemy with an overwhelming force of 51 numbered production units.  The P-51B Mustang exhibits the same power output as the P-51A (510hp / 510 lb-ft tq) and has all the associated upgrades (forged internals, fuel system, clutch, brakes, ECM) required to support this increase over a base Ford Mustang.  The crown jewel, of course, is the supercharger unit providing the boost for the P-51B: the next-generation TVS2300 ROUSHcharger setup.  What’s most exciting about this newest release from ROUSH is that this edition will be equipped with the new Cooper RS3 ultra-high performance tires as well as the Stage 3 suspension package–believe me, I can personally attest that this setup is sure to bring a huge grin to anyone who sits behind the wheel of a Mustang equipped as such!  So c’mon, take a close look at the hi res shot of the P-51B, as well the official Press Release and spec sheet from ROUSH Performance.
