Hotchkis Suspension to reenact McQueen Mustang chase

Well, here’s a little break from all the 50th Anniversary of the Ford Mustang hoopla…let’s talk about this year’s upcoming SEMA show in ‘Vegas.  This year’s show is going to be no exception from those past, with loads of aftermarket concepts pouring into the exhibition halls, inciting excitement & disgust all the same.  One cool happening to take note of this time around is a very slick reenactment.  No, not the Civil War kind, where participants get to nap for 4 hours while “playing dead”, but the type where a tribute to one of the greats is laid forth.

The folks at Hotchkis Sport Suspension are going to bring the one of the most renowned car chase scenes of all time to life for all to see.  That’s right, McQueen’s dream will be replayed once again, for all to see, firsthand.

Keep reading to get the full scoop in the Press Release which follows, as there’s much more going on there than this simple scene of awesomeness.

Twin Turbo 5.0 Coyote Ford Mustang Cobra Jet – SEMA

The 2012 SEMA show in Las Vegas at full throttle today, and Ford has come out guns blazing, with their show-stopping Mustang Cobra Jet concept.  Based upon the 2013 Mustang Cobra Jet, this one-of-a-kind race car is 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 beast.  The technology behind this monstrous concept?  You guessed it–EcoBoost…the very sort similar to the tech found beneath the hood of the Focus ST.

Big deal, right?  We’ve seen boosted Ford Mustang variations time and again, but now, this twin-turbo Mustang Cobra Jet concept leads and leans strongly to us seeing a production forced-induction (say that 3 times, fast) Ford Mustang soon, based upon this EcoBoost tech.  Had enough talk?  Thought so–we have, too, so check out the video we have in store for you!

From forced induction to a complete suspension and braking insanity, the TKO has most anything you can fathom to get gobs of grins!  So much of a knock-out punch, the TKO was awarded the 2011 Outstanding SEMA Design Achievement Award.
