With the black-bagging of Bin Laden, we all think it’s time to step back and once again say “thank you” to all the United States Armed Services personnel who are in action at home & abroad, fighting the good fight, so the rest of us can roll down highway in our Ford Mustang with the 2-60 air on.  Steeda Autosports is taking the salutation and thank you one step further with a pair of Boss 302 Mustangs to be awarded, tax-exempt, to one lucky winner of their sweepstakes.

If you’ve gotten your hands on a new 2011 Ford Mustang GT lately, then you are no doubt enjoying a serious collection of horsepower.  So what if we told you that the aftermarket companies aren’t about to let you down in the modification department?  Right.  You’d not be surprised, moreover, pleased to know that Steeda Autosports, amidst the masses, has come up with a new performance induction kit for the latest installation of the 5.0-liter Ford Mustang.

This upgrade to the 2011 Mustang utilizes the BOSS 302 composite intake as the base, coupled with a tuned cold-air intake, and results in some marked performance improvements throughout the powerband.

There’s not much to go on for now, but we are sure the Ford Mustang madness will ensue once the calendar flips a few more weeks.  Steeda Autosports is all set again to host the Pony Wars in Valdosta, Georgia, and everyone with blue blood is invited!  The date is set for April 2, 2011 for the 2nd annual Pony Wars event at South Georgia Motorsports Park.  With heads-up racing, a show ‘n shine, and loads of fantastic company, the 2011 Pony Wars event is sure to capitalize on the inaugural episode.

When Steeda Autosports teams up with a slick SoCal modification team, you know that whatever they come up with is a sure to be a hit.  This latest output from a partnership between Steeda and Raceskinz has resulted in a Ford Mustang GT like no other to date.  The Raceskinz 2011 Mustang GT was part of the SEMA & Los Angeles Auto Shows this year, and when the masses saw what Road & Track magazine dubbed as “Best of Show”, you know something good was underneath courtesy of Steeda.

The key players in the Ford Mustang aftermarket keep on tweaking, tuning, and testing the 2011 Mustang GT in order to squeeze a bit more juice from the car that already produces a formidable amount of power straight off the assembly line.  Steeda Autosports has been designing a proprietary Steeda Cold Air Intake and a Steeda Performance Tune in order to break out ahead of the rest where it counts: at the track!

The Steeda CAI kit, when matched up with a set of Nitto 275/40/17 NT05 Drag Radials, was able to rocket the Steeda Mustang down the 1/4 mile strip at South Georgia Motorsports Park just under the 12-second mark with a 115mph trap!  So just how did the car sound?  Who drove the car (because we all know the best mod is the driver mod!)?

This year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas had a tremendous showing from the Steeda Autosports team, with their exhibition of the Steeda Fiesta Sport, the performance tuned Steeda Fusion Sport, and the asphalt rippin’ 5.0L Steeda StreetFighter Ford Mustang.  The 2011 5.0-liter supercharged Q650 Steeda StreetFighter was up on display at the Nitto Tire booth, proudly donning the latest & greatest in ultra high performance tires–the Nitto NT05.

Coupled with the NT05 rubber, the Steeda StreetFighter Mustang also received a plethora of suspension upgrades; more applied to any of their production vehicles in times past.  Joining the party is also the famed Watts Link Suspension setup, permitting this Steeda Mustang to pull over 1.5Gs on the skid!  As far as performance goes, the Steeda Q650 StreetFighter has ample power to brag about a 0 to 60 time under 4 seconds & a 1320ft time of resting comfortably in the 10s.

Chalk up another hit ahead of its time.  The return of the 5.0 in the 2011 Ford Mustang has been a fantastic & exciting concept and as we move into the summer peak season, the aftermarket is beginning to heat up.  The all-new 2011 Steeda Sport Edition 5.0-liter Ford Mustang takes the already awesome Ford pony car product and takes it to the next level in performance.  This 2011 Steeda Mustang will be stickered at just under $40K and will have a plethora of Steeda goodies to keep the good times rollin’.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to catch a hot lapping session, you aren’t alone.  If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to participate in one, yeah, you have no strange company here and there.  All we can tell you is that in order to make it happen, you have to guts up and make it to a local track hotspot and either tear it up in your own Ford Mustang or beg for a shotgun spot to soak it up.

The guys and gals at Steeda made up a fantastic track event just recently at the 2010 Camp Steeda Driving event, presented by Track Guys at Sebring.  There are few tracks that are ever-present in a boy racer’s mind and this is exactly one of them.  The 3.7-mile course is one of the most car & driver taxing ones in any circuit, yet with a proper driver and car, can often times be the most enjoyable.

If you have any idea of what the track experience is like, you know exactly what I’m saying and you can feel it as I do.  If you don’t have a clue what a track weekend is like, then keep reading; the Steeda folks know how to put on a good show–no doubt.  Enjoy!

Alright.  Spring has sprung and most every track across the nation has started hosting hot lap sessions, either professional in scope or honed in on the weekend warrior in all of us.  The official 2010 racing season is in high gear and there are many Ford Mustang racers out on the track this year.  Steeda Autosports has been helping supply many of these team cars with their top-end performance products for over 21 years and the results are proven–Steeda’s equipped teams have one more races and set more records than the competition…combined.  Reaching SCCA American Sedan Racing, NASA Camaro-Mustang Challenge Series, and the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge, Steeda has been sponsoring and tweaking Mustangs to the top podium positions season after season.

About a month ago, the first annual Steeda Stampede of Valdosta stormed the South Georgia Motosports Park with some serious Ford Mustang racing and show.  Each fall, an event dubbed the Steeda Stampede is held in Florida, so this time around, the Steeda folks decided to double the fun in 2010 and have a spring event as well.  Judging upon the huge success of this initial event, it’s sure to be a repeat affair come next year.
