2010 Camp Steeda recap

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to catch a hot lapping session, you aren’t alone.  If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to participate in one, yeah, you have no strange company here and there.  All we can tell you is that in order to make it happen, you have to guts up and make it to a local track hotspot and either tear it up in your own Ford Mustang or beg for a shotgun spot to soak it up.

The guys and gals at Steeda made up a fantastic track event just recently at the 2010 Camp Steeda Driving event, presented by Track Guys at Sebring.  There are few tracks that are ever-present in a boy racer’s mind and this is exactly one of them.  The 3.7-mile course is one of the most car & driver taxing ones in any circuit, yet with a proper driver and car, can often times be the most enjoyable.

If you have any idea of what the track experience is like, you know exactly what I’m saying and you can feel it as I do.  If you don’t have a clue what a track weekend is like, then keep reading; the Steeda folks know how to put on a good show–no doubt.  Enjoy!

The Compilation of Ford Mustang Special Editions

2009 Ford Mustang

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past oh say, 15 years, you’d sure to realize the Ford Mustang aftermarket is something that continues to sizzle on far beyond the dreams Carroll Shelby and Lee Iacocca ever imagined back in the 1960s.  The staggering number of late-model Mustang spin-offs is something that could be seen as awesome, inspiring, or even sometimes comical.  It’s quite daunting just how many flavors of the Ford Mustang there are.  What’s more, we’ve done our best to draft up a list for you to digest, observe, and most importantly–help continue to add to it where we’ve left out!

Ready for this bitter pill?  You better be, because we’re going to take a look at the comments to see if there are any we’ve missed (to date) and then also recruit you to help build the SN95, Fox, Mustang II, and Classic special edition lists.  We’ve got the page breaks ready, so let’s hear it!

Brawl with the Best in the 2010 Steeda Q550 Streetfighter Edition

2010 Steeda Q550 - Streetfighter Edition

2010 Steeda Q550 - Streetfighter Edition

What’s better than a Ford Mustang that can tear up the track, terrorize small children, and leave a gaping grin on a driver’s face?  A Mustang that can do it and still have the domesticated touches to make it tolerable for daily driving duties.  Steeda Autosports took their 2010 Steeda Q550 Streetfighter Edition Mustang to the LA Auto Show and unleashed a barrage of upgrades to the already capable pony car by Ford.  A Watts Link suspension, 0 – 60 in under 4 seconds, and solid 11 second 1320 passes are just a few of the tasty goodies the Steeda Q550 Mustang has to offer.

The Steeda Q550 is also bolstered in power thanks to a Ford Racing / Whipple supercharger system which (quite notably) is still emissions compliant in all 50 of the grand United States.  By the way, yes, the “550″ in the Steeda Q550 nameplate is a statement of how much power this car produces.

So how does this latest monster Mustang from Steeda get it done?  Keep reading to find out!
