I recently bought a 1988 GT. Is it poosible to switch out the GT tail lights with LX lights? I love the GT look, just not the tail lights. I stumbled across this site searching for body kits, ground effects and things like that
for my 2001 V6 mustang. thats a good question,("if you had a choice, which

the net for different kinds of hoods and front facis and stuff, however I cant seem to
find a lot of the things I see on the streets any where on the net. I have looked on
stang net,
pony express so on so forth. so my question is is there any web site that has all the
different kinds of products manufatured by all the different people and companies
under one site ? if not what do I do to make sure I have looked at all my choises
before actually spending my money and then seeing something on the street and
saying oh man I wanted that but I couldnt find it I didnt even come across it.

I own an 87'gt. Here recently I have been having a problem with it idling. It idles fine for a while, then it races up to about 4,000 rpms. And it stays there. It runs fine until I go to change gears. When I push the clutch in it shoots back up to 4,000. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks |

Function over form anyday... I'm running the Suncoast Creations Ram Air hood on my 95 GT. The Ram Air feature gathers air from the leading edge of the hood, where it is MUCH cooler and CLEANER than air gathered below the air dam. |

I like cars that just look "pissed off" and my Cobra with the Boss R hood fits the bill. It's the ho fibertrends hood, and John Colleti (head of Ford Racing) put the 3 1/2" R hood on his car, and ho fibertrends also designed the real 1 1/2" Cobra R hood that Ford used. |

On SN-95s, Cowls or Mach 1 style hoods look great.
On FOX bodies, Cowls look good on LXs, GTS,Cobras, or anything with ground effects. Mach 1 style hoods look the best on Stangs with ground effects(GT,Cobra,Saleen,etc.),but not so great on the LXs. My drop-top GT sports a 2.5 inch cowl. |

Just traded in my '98 v6, and got me a 2000 GT... I'd say the best hood for the 94-98 style would be a ram air hood... can't remember who makes it, but it looks like the ram air used on Firebirds. Saw one one a stang and it looked sweet. But for the 99-00, I'd definately go with the 2000 Cobra R (when it's available), or the Saleen S351 hood. Both are very sharp looking. |

I just got a Steeda Cobra R which has a 1.5 in. cowl for my 99 Stang. I love it. Plus the opening in the back of the hood lets you not need insulation so I had the underside painted and clearcoated, it looks great. |

I would put a 96-98 cobra hood with flared nostrils on my 94, looks very aggressive. BUT, if i had a 99 i would replace that fake scoop hood with a cobra, cleans up the entire appearance of the car. |

I would put a 93 Saleen hood on my '87 GT. It has a mild 1" cowl, as well as heat release vents on each side of the cowl. And it is made out of carbon fiber so it has got to be prety light. Unfortunately it costs around $800.00 |

Ever since the 96 Cobra came out with the hood that has the air holes on top of the hood rather than slanted at an angle, I've wanted one. And ti should look nice on my 94 GT. |

I like the SVO style myself, but I think I like the 1.5 to 2" cowl a little better for my coupe. Once I do the paint, I'll put one of those cowl puppies on! |
