The following pictures are from
the installation of stainless steel front brake lines into my 1998 Mustang
Cobra. The stainless steel front brake lines are manufactured by Baer Racing and I purchased them
from APEX
Motorsports. The following is a step by step description of the
process.
Here is a list of tools needed:
11mm Flare Nut Wrench
16mm Socket
10mm Wrench
Ratchet
Torque Wrench
Jack
Jack Stands
Pliers
Dremel or file
1. Here is a picture of the new lines. They are
different for each side. The right side line has a sticker on it with the word
RIGHT printed on the sticker. This kit also comes with the 4 copper crush
washers need for this installation.

2. The first step is to Jack up
the front of the car and remove the wheels. Make sure to use jack stands to hold
the car up.

3. The next step is to remove
the old line from the hard line at the top. Use the 11mm Flare Nut Wrench on the
hard line side. Once the lines are disconnected, put a vacuum cap on the hard
line to minimize the amount of lost brake fluid, and remove the clip holding the
soft line onto the bracket.

4. The next step is to remove
the line from the back of the caliper by using the 16mm Socket to unbolt the
Banjo bolt.
