Engine Deleting Egr Valve On 5.0

It's 3/4 NPT. I got mine from Lowes. I deleted my EGR because I went to a Fox TB setup and didn't want to fool with it. Before my tune, I'd get a WOT CEL because the plunger was being held open with a block off plate I had sandwitched between the EGR and intake. Got my tune and it went away.

Actually that's not the right thread for the cap. It's metric. You CAN however put the cap you mention on the header. That's what I ended up doing after I messed up my homemade cap with a bit cresent wrench. :nonono:

When you put the Lowe's cap on it, you are cutting new threads in the brass cap. Mine still sealed up that way. But you do risk messing up your header threads if you ever decide to put the EGR back on.

i didnt cut mine, it snapped....Also i used a penny inside of the old nut and tightened it down and it sealed up perfect. And now i get to see lincon's head every time i pop my hood (i'll post pics later)

does it get loose? heres a pic of the penny
