i aint copying anyone...1 these wheels are cheap as hell 2 i dont have money for bullets right now and 3 i can find and split 5's for sale local...
what ya think about waffle pony wheels..i found a set for 100 bucks with tires...

these will do the job till i get what i really want....chrome bullets...
nah im waiting to do paint till early next year...that way the paint will stay nice for at least 9 months...people in ohio fream out when it rains..let alone snow....
and lets see....
38 * 2 for the front...thats $ 76
around 50 for rear....thats $ 126
plus the wheels 100 thats $ 226
for a 5 lug swap with wheels and tires...then sell my 10 holes with new tires for around 75 and i have spent a grand total of $151 for a 5 lug swap with wheels and tires....oh and add in whatever it cost for rear brake pads...
to paint by my call will be around 500..so spending around 150 for a 5 lug swap with wheels and tires it money better spent this late in the year...
Well painting and prepping with all the cheaper good stuff should be closer to 1k at least 400 for the sealer primer and the 2k primer.. and a gallon of paint and clear will run about 500 + sand paper and all that s you should be looking at closer to 1k for paint and thats for the middle of the line paint..
im done talking to you....you dont know **** about where i get what we use....
and i dont know what your smoking thinking primer and paint will run over 500....
paint is something like $32 a quat ( im buying a gallon )
plus..... we will be painting another car at the same time...( 3 car garage with split bays ) so we will split what it will cost for clear and prep materials...
what to know the grand total of what my dad has in his vert? a lil under 3,500

his was about 400 for paint, primer, clear...they painted a 88 hatch LX at the same time...
$400.00 for the wheels and tires
$400 in exhasust
$200 for two rust free doors and a trunk lid..
$spoler...free..just time to re work it...
thats just about all he has put into the car unless you want to start counting oil changes and water pumps and stupid **** like that...
only way primer and such like that will cost that is if your buying it from a body shop...

Dang, I come to these forums to relax and learn. If I wanted to hear people bicker I would just listen to my 3 kids and occasionally the wife lol. Its a small world and a short life to get bent out of shape about anything.

I wouldnt pay too much attention unless there giving you advice. I think a lot of guyz on here just like trying to get a rise out of you so i wouldn't pay too much attention. Your car is coming along good.
I just gave you advice on how much the stuff cost. No need to get all huffy and puffy. I know how much sealer primer and 2k primer costs per gallon and quart. Along with the price of a mid grade paint and clearcoat setup.. 32 dollars a quart is a hell of a price. Mines $89 a quart for a middle of the line paint. I suggested a sealer primer because your car had rust. What is the paint brand your using that might factor in the $32 a quart. Hell just for the quart Of paint and clear for the engine bay and jambs on my car was like 180. Im buying it from a paint place also. Like i said i was just giving you a rough estmate of what a mid grade paint cost.. My gallon of transstar 2k primer and reducer was close to $200.. Not hating or insulting just giving a heads up.

i know a guy at ford...he is mixing the paint for me...it helps when you know people that can hook you up.....
part of the reason your paint it that much is your using a new ford color...mines 19 years old....cheaper... by a bit...i think ford paint will last long...lasted 19 years on this car till rust started.
Do you know where ford gets its paint? The same company that makes mine. the paint age dosent matter on the price its the color that makes te price. Reds yellows and oranges being the most expensive.. Once again im not hating but its not the paint that lasted 19years its the prep that goes into it. The place im getting my paint frm gives me the price of the dealership in which i work,cost on paint. And my paint is a cheaper color. The color is a big factor in price but the age of it isnt. My old car had the same color on the front of it.
