Yet another Cam question.

I have a 95 cobra and recently, I have gotten a hold of a Lunati cam and was wondering how this will perform with the stock gt 40 heads that are currently on my car. Everything is pretty much stock, and if it works, how would it perform with the heads decked .030" or .060"? Would gt 40P heads work better? Would it be drivable with the stock tune and raised idle until I got a chip burnt? What other, if any, problems would I run into, i.e heating issues, piston to valve clearance w/stock pusrods/1.7 roller rockers or the like? Thanks for the help in advance.

Decking/Milling the heads increases compression, which in-turn also creates less piston to valve clearance between your valves and the stock pistons.

I can see that cam having trouble with clearing the stock pistons.

I also see a lower LSA, which can cause some driveability issues with the 94/95 ECU.

I also see a cam with a powerband that does not match your head, intake, or supporting parts flow potential.

I think you would be dissapointed in it's performance at this point.

Im not sure what the max lift the heads can handle, I looked for some numbers but found nothing. As for the springs, I was intending to swap them out for the lunati recommended springs to get the correct spring intensity.
