What should I do?

It looks clean. You need to ask yourself if green is cool with you?

I only wanted black, white or silver, but that's me.

If you like green and like the car when you check it out, buy it. You'll love the 4V

Green is ok with me. I just don't want a black or white car. I emailed the seller and we will see what he says. I would take the wing off if I get one. Heck I'm going to take mine off If I keep my car. I think stangs look so good wingless. I took the wing of my car back in the summer just to see what it would look like and I love it (the pic is before I got lowering springs).

Ok guys I found a 99 cobra with 42,000 miles on it for $4,200. I verified with the seller that 4,200 is the price. It mostly stock just has exhaust and 01 cobra rear bumper. She said she would ship i to me at her expense. This sounds to good to be true. The reason she is selling is because she is going thru a divorce. I'm asking for the vin number and asking if the fix has been done. Do the 99s have IRS? So if this is true I could sell my car buy the cobra and have about $6-$7,000 left to spend on mods?

SCAM!!

Don't do it. 99% that it is a scam. I hear these all the time....it's either a divorce or someone is getting shipped to Iraq. Stick with the green one. Green is a rare color on a cobra anyway. They want you to send you payment and then they say "I will take care of shipping"..do some research on it, and you will find some victims..

I found the one you were talking about. It is also listed with a supercharger.....and there is not one on it.

Yup that’s the one. I thought it was too good to be true. It’s also listed in Brookline New York even though the person told me they are in CA. The guy with the 97 got back to me and he told me to come down so he can see how much he would give me for my current car. If all else fails I will get a S/C in the spring for my current car. I only have 60,000 miles on her.

Don't know about that one.... :bs:

Yes the 99 cobra has IRS. The years before have straight axle.

I bet the response you got looked like this eh: word for word I bet too:

Hello there,

Thank you for your interest in my 1999 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra V8. The car has a clear title and it is in showroom condition. The unit condition is great, no damage, no scratches or dents, no hidden defects, never been wrecked and no accidents of any kind. I am located in Los Angeles, CA and I have the car with me. I will ship it from here on my expense through DAS (Dependable Auto Shippers). The payment will be handled securely through SafePay Solutions. They will handle the financial part of this transaction, I will only take care of the shipping. If you want to make this purchase, the final price is $4,200 US. I am passing through a divorce with my husband and that's why I'm selling it so cheap.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Samantha Kinman

$4200? If this is for real, you better jump on it. But man that does sound too good to be true. Even if it doesnt have the fix, holy crap. Trust me, you will love this car if its legit. Run a carfax, and ask for pictures from every angle, lol

That’s exactly what it said.

Like I said...scam....:nono:

Do NOT give this person your money. These are the guys that when I want to sell a car on Autotrader, always tell me they will give me 3000 over the price of the car and will arrange for shipping. So then what happens is that the car is gone, and then the seller finds out that the western union (or whatever) money order is fake.

Same here but reverse.

I am going to play with this scammer a little bit. I will ask why the car is in 2 different places and will post the answers here as I get them...stay tuned!

OK! Already got a reply: it was this..

As you can see it was the same thing..only on my email the location of the car (california) was red, like someone had just changed the color instead of addressing my question. So I responded with " The autotrader ad says Brooklyn, that is why I am asking". I also said I have money ready to send, so let's see what the reply will be.....

Hello there,

The car was listed in NY because I lived there with my ex-husband but like I've told you, I am passing through a divorce right now and I recently moved here in CA in a new house. The car condition is great, no damage, no scratches or dents, no hidden defects, never been wrecked and no accidents of any kind. I've attached you all pictures with my car to see how she actually looks (all pictures are recently made). Please get back to me with other questions you may have if you are interested in the purchase !

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Maybe this isn't a scam and she just sends the same thing to every one that asks her so she doesn't have to re type things. I know I do that when I sell something. I save it in a word doc, then when someone asks me about it I just past it in the email so I don't have to write it all over again.

Ran a full car fax and she is the fourth owner. Everything is clean but it says 02/24/2006 "title issued or updated, New owner reported Loan or lien reported". The last thing listed was passed emissions on 03/14/2006.

So this is looking less like a scam now.

Sure they would, but not for free anymore.

Personally, I think you should try the "come by and look at it" tactic. Mainly because I think it is a scam. I mean, why is the listing removed when I click on the seller tab...it's just fishy. Rule of thumb, if you are gonna buy a car that has to be your daily driver, don't buy it sight unseen unless you have something else to drive...that's just my opinion. Did you call the number and talk to the girl? You should do that too.
