My Progress Pics

Sorry guys iv been at work. I am doing mini-tubs so i don't have any clearance issues. Also those lines is my fuel system, all aeromotive stuff. I dropped the gas tank so i didn't catch my car on fire "AGAIN" :)

As for the power im putting out, i really have no idea. I only have about 100 miles on the motor so far. All i know i had some 245/45/17 on it, and in any gear i can stomp it and they car just smokes them. SO i decided to put the mini tubs in and nows its back under construction. I ordered my new upper and lower coil over cross member, with 2 Strange 10 way adjustable coil overs with 150# QA1 springs.

All came from Wolfe Race Craft. I love their products but there shipping times are kind of ridiculous. They said they are short handed but all they have to do is weld 4 tabs onto a shaft and the springs and coil overs should be stock items. Oh well. Ill get them sooner or later.

When i get some my weld prostars i will post some more pictures .

Car Under Construction AGAIN!

Well the car is torn all apart yet again. It seems like i get one thing done, then i just wanna doing something else to improve it. Well currently Im getting the rear end shortened 2.5" per side so i can tuck my MT 28x10.5W. Its getting new housing ends to accept the 9" Ford bearings so i can run the 35 Spline non c-clip axles. I think I decided to put a spool in it also.

I also got my S&W Race Cars 10 point roll cage in the mail a few days ago. I got the main hoop bar, back hatch bars, and seat brake that runs between main hoop installed so far. I am very pleased with the fitments of this cage. Iv only had to trim just a few things so far.

And lastly the Victor JR intake is getting pulled off of the motor. I have to drill and tap all the bosses for my new Edelbrock Nitrous Fogger kit. Direct port injection from 50-500 HP. This is the main reason i went with a 10 point cage and the gigantic 10.5w tires . I def plan on busting into the 9's with this fogger.

I will be posting a bunch of pics of all the progress in the morning when i can get some sunlight.

Nice. Did those tires ever hit your quarter panels?

I never ran those tires at all, i just put them on to see the fitment of them. I had some ET Streets 275/4x/17 and every time i launched the car it would squat on the rear tires and make the car unload itself. So now I'm making the new tires so they can tuck if i ever get a hard launch, i don't want to have anymore clearance problems. The car looks sick tuckin those big tires...

Is that with 5-;ug drums or disk brakes?? Damn they stick way out

That is with a '96 GT Rear end with Disk brakes. I guess the '96 is 3/4" per side longer than the stock 8.8? But i got a '90 8.8 off of a friend and that is what i'm getting shortened.

Those wheels are Weld Prostars 15x10 w/6.5 BS

I'm uploading pictures of all the progress right now, so you can see the wheels tucking the wells.

You know it... I couldn't even imagine doing all the work iv done on my car without one. It was the best $1200 we ever spent.

OMG!!! 1200 bucks, was that used. Im renting a garage with my son-inlaw and its 28 by 40. More than enough room for a lift. Oh yeah your car looks great with those tires tucked in, but it still looks like they could rub if the rear squats hard. looks like you have some skillz there man! Good luck!

1200 for a brand new one, we got ours from a local shop. I think the name was Cheap Lifts or something like that. The tire wont rub i have the outside edge of the sidewall so its flush against the inside fender lip, then when i roll the fender lip it will give me some clearance. Thanks for the kind words...

I almost have the cage done, i got the side bars tacked in and those the last ones to do. I still have to finish welding the 6x6 floor plates all the way around, those are also just tacked.
