Here is an article of a fatality accident that happened in a small town in Southern Illinois. Looks to be the same year, color, body style as my Stang. Which makes it even more scary to me.

Motorist killed in Whiteash accident

WHITEASH - A driver was killed in an accident Friday afternoon on Fowler School Road about half a mile east of Old Frankfort Road.

Williamson County sheriff's deputies were sent to the scene at 4:32 p.m., according to a news release from the department.

Preliminary investigation shows the car left the road and hit several trees. The car, pulled from a wooded area, was crushed beyond recognition.

Bystanders said they did not know the identity of anyone in the car, but some said they believed there was more than one person in the car when it crashed.

The name of the driver was not released Friday night.

Williamson County Coroner Mike "Junior" Burke was not available. Deputy Coroner Tony Fleege said the family had been notified and funeral arrangements are pending.

However, he declined to release the driver's name.

Fleege said he could verify one young man was killed in the accident, and two passengers were taken to area hospitals

The accident is being investigated by Williamson County sheriff's and coroner's personnel. Johnston City police, as well as Johnston City and Pittsburg firefighters, assisted.

Damn, it looks like it was well kept too. The 10-holes look super clean!

Sorry to hear the driver died, hopefully he deserved it, so-to-speak. Horrible thing to say, but it's a little easier to swallow knowing that the person brought it upon themselves rather than being a completely innocent victim.

That car had to have been hauling ass when it left the roadway, it's sad when anyone loses their life, this should serve as a reminder to all of us to be as safe as we can when driving. RIP to the person whom lost their life.

I'm sorry the guy died, but it looks like he was acting a fool on that road and its sad. I really cant tell from the pic, but it looks like a narrow road with a lot of trees and thats a recipe for disaster.

Because those rims have more than 10 holes. Could it be a dodge daytona?? I know the parking lights look like a mustang but the tail lights and rims look like a daytona.

i get the idea of the cars being similar in a few ways, but no...far from being a dodge daytona
 
justabigkid guess u dont know 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 thats 10 and it has 10 holes on the rim. it could not be a dodge there is no way one could get going that fast to mess up a car like that. people need to think about racing or flying on a open road. pray for the others in the car.

As a matter of fact i was one of the passengers in the car and it pisses me off that you can even say something like that about someone you didnt even know.that was my best friend and he was only 17 for a week.And if it wasnt for another on coming car coming up over the hill we wouldnt have wrecked.thanks for your lil :leghump:ing input though really made my :leghump:ing day.FYI I was right behind him when he took his last breath.

it is a very narrow road.and gravel on both sides.i know im 5years late on this but i was one of the passengers in the car.and he wasnt acting a fool we actually had a oncoming car in the middle of the road and he when he turned right to avoid the car he over corrected in the gravel and it fishtailed us threw a yard and flipped at the woodline 3 in a half time until the car came to a rest top side up wrapped on a tree.i got the police reports the black box readings.

i wish there were more understanding people like you on blogs like this.i was in the car and that personally has been the hardest thing i have ever been threw

Sorry about your friend, but based on the information and the pic shown in the news report (FROM 2008 I MIGHT ADD!!!), it seems pretty clear that speed was the factor in the crash here, not the oncoming car? Any car moving fast enough to leave the ground and eradicate itself the way that car did, is moving too fast for the conditions of the road. Tragedy for certain, but let's lay the blame where it's needs to lay.....on the driver.

Exactly. I lost a very good friend the same way a few years ago. He had a lightly modded 95 z28 and clipped a driveway culvert and lost control hitting a tree at what was estimated to be 110+ mph. It was terrible and he was a good dude, but it was 100% his fault.
