I couldn't had said it any better myself, and also couldn't agree more. As for the Camaro SS outperforming the 2010 GT is concerned ? Well just wait until the 400HP 5.0 4v arrives in the 2011 Mustang GT. Then will see who the real HP king is then.

If the Mustang doesn't gain any substantial weight. This should still give the 2011 GT, a distinct weight advantage over the Camaro SS along with the new powertrain, and 6speed trans !

What's the hp numbers on that car again? Okay..and lets evaluate 22hp if that is going to be the final say so. 22hp with the weight difference and driver skill that is nothing. Having a passenger in the car will kill that advantage in any situation.

Plus you "3k" in mods...wow..your rolling round in a 40k plus car and have 500 hp...damn ..that sounds like another car you can purchase with warranty..oh yeah.. .gt500's. LOL! Or you can skip the gt500 and do a base mustang gt for 25-26k and spend oh say 13-15k on it and well..everyone knows what that will equal.... alot faster than you 40k camaro.

Now when i compared the 422 to the 400 its because someone up there said 'the new one will have 400' I dont know any more than you do. im going by what the ford fanboys in here say.

so back to 422hp...

32k... whats 32k + 3k? (the price of a cam/tune swap)

common... you can do it...

awesome, 35k. so for 35k im going to have a 500+hp 450lb torque, IRS, 6 speed, MONSTER of a car.

now i know this is a ford forum so let me specify, when i say 500hp, i mean 495hp which has been confirmed through dyno's.

(Now if you were to dyno the GT500's "500" hp, you come up with about 430... weird huh? so your 7k in the hole and 70hp down...)

Now if i were to supercharge the LS3, say another 3k.

so 35k + 3k= 38k

have you ever seen what f/I does on an LS3? your sitting on 600-630hp. for how many THOUSANDS less than a GT500?

So after all of this, you have a car which is faster than your 80k mustang, handles better than ANYTHING ford makes, has better gas milage, and still costs less.

Now if you take the route i will be taking, you spend 2k on weight reduction, your sitting at 3600lbs.

so 38k + 2k = 40k.

The Camaro has gone for about 7 years, and im not sure if you follow the world events, but GM has come out with some of the baddest cars in the world in its absence. now im going to suggest to Ford's engineers to stop embarrassing the mustang name and come out with a real car.

here is a little teaser for you. go to ...www.Youtube.com, type in 'Ls3 Corvette' , the clip has the camaro's LS3, with the cam swap i told you about (the 3k upgrade i made first) which brings the dyno'd hp to 495. But its ok... the mustang has been here longer... LMAO.

Actually my ex's father has a magnuson blower on is 06 vet ls2, and put down 530 hp. Very nice. But that's 6k kit with all the correct parts.

Just called procharger on your ls3 supercharger kit $7,200.00 USD!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!

Cut the mullett dude and stop smoking your camaro crack pipe, open your eyes and see the facts that the mustang isn't so far off, and i guarantee over the next 10 years it will still be here, selling as strong as ever regardless of what chevy comes out with and does to there camaro. :nice:

I agree that IRS is better on a road course car. But if you want to run at the drag strip, solid axle is better. I had an 04 cobra and I hated the IRS.

No not really. I can personally tell you that your camaro will not have more than 500 hp for less than 38k. You forgot taxes and all the other bs that goes along with purchasing the camaro. Plus the parts and labor, because it didn't come from the factory with extra cams and tunes for you. I know your braggin about your labor deal, but same could be said for the modifications to the mustang.
