Although I still have some major changes to the front suspension planned, I am debating on what color to pant the car. I was rather partial to Black with either White Le mans or Super Snake Stripes, or possible either Black with Flat Black Stripes or Ghost stripes. Though I have stumble oh some pictures of Cars which have possible swayed my opinion such as this red one... I was wondering if any one has pictures 67 Shelbys with paint schemes that are not original that look sharp? Or even pictures of other cars with a paint scheme which you think would look good?

Since every ones like pictures I attached some of color combinations I would consider. If nothing else the Red GT 500 is a great desktop image...

This picture above is very motivating as soon as I get home my car will get plenty of attention.

i've always been very partial to the classic blue with white stripes on the 67 shelbys myself. maybe do a reverse of the original super snake with blue and the super snake stripe down the center....i think that would look super slick

I like the blue with white stripes it probably my favorite. White with blue stripes looks good too. I like the origianal Shelby paint schemes better than the more modern or Eleanor type.

I like 'em all, but painted mine white with blue for clean looks and easy maintenance and touch ups.

Yeah its hard to choice a good friend of mine feels black is the only option, I love the way the cars look in black in its currently mostly in black panels so that only reinforces that color Choice. Though like I said the Red is growing on me, and ironically most because of that picture.

Your car looks great by the way Zookeeper, and I second that white is easy to maintain. My ranger was white and you couldn't tell from 5 ft away that the whole truck had scratches all over it from off roading.

One of the gentlemen who I befriended here in Iraq owns his own body shop in Georgia feels the car would look great in a Dark Forest Green. He has a real Sharp 90's 7 series BMW he painted the same color and it does look great, though I am not sure how I feel about it on my car.

I like some of the newer paint scheme especially the Black with flat black stripes or the charcoal Grey stripes, and they Grey and Off white stripes from the 2010, though I don't know how the 2010 colors would look on the older Shelbys

me too, though the eleanor stripes are very similar to the older ones. i especially like the original 67 super snake stripes over the eleanor super snake versions. the original super snake also used a gt350 hood from an air conditioned car with the vents as well. the original super snake was a wicked cool car, if you cloned that one with a reverse paint scheme in blue with white stripes that would be awesome

here are some pcis of the original super snake

Actually I think a inverted Super Snake color scheme would be very sharp. Although I didn't mention it I am a big fan of the Super Snake Stripes and considered using them versus the Le Mans Stripes in most color schemes.

If I pursed black what do you guys think of a complete black out so to speak, Either black chrome or Black Powder coated trim pieces? Speaking of trim pieces that black Eleanor is missing its windshield trim...
For example something like this 68 Camaro?
