Hello everyone, My Name is Tyler, New member on the forum and new to American Muscle. I recently just picked up a 04 mustang GT, but figured id share my story of how i ended up here.

I just did a complete engine swap on my 93 Honda Prelude for the second time! about 7 months ago. I invested a lot of money and time in the car, about a month ago I was driving home from work, pulled into my parking spot and the car lost compression. So I pretty much lost all hope on Honda's. I like Honda's but I obviously cant own one since i have killed 4 engines and my wallet for the last time. I always liked the body and sound of the 99-04 mustang and decided it was time for a change.

here is the money pit honda

A lot of my buddy's have had or have mustangs so i knew it was a strong car and thats why i went with it. I bought the GT from a used dealer in NH for what its worth private sale KBB. It's by no means mint. its gonna need a lot of body work and paint to get it looking clean again. but its a Daily Driver so its a solid 20 foot car:)

It came with a short throw shifter, stage 2 clutch, Eibach springs and a K&N Intake. Since I picked it up i have been busy, i Have buffed the car, replaced the headlights, painted the grille, and did a home depo lip. I have tints in the mail for my fog lights. Oh and my favorite find so far was the cobra rims. craigslist find for 500 bucks with pretty much brand new rubber.

So far im really liking the power of the car and its also a lot more comfortable of a ride. Anyways I apologize for my bad grammar and run-on sentences. just wanted to check in and say Hi! now ill share pictures of the new toy.

when i first picked it up

:welcome:

I thought for sure you were going to say after you spent all that money that it still only ran 15's in the 1/4. :D Sorry, just a little domestic vs. import humor. I think you'll like it over on the domestic side. It's much cheaper with much better results for the money. :nice:

yeah i cant disagree with you there, i should be able to make a lot of power without spending half the money and it will be reliable. took me a few years to smarten up haha

and p.s i wont be ricing it out or anything so dont worry about it, she will be a clean mcmean machine. haha

Welcome. I just got my first mustang recently also this month, even though we had one in the household since 2005(wife has a 04 mustang convertible i got her). I spent my time in the ricer world also (200sx, honda civic hatchback, sentra spec-v, impreza hatchback), so i've experienced both sides also. Welcome, it's a good switch you made (even though i have some fond memories of my spec-v taking them nice sharp curves while your tires are just screeching with the back end trying to come out but the front wheel keep'n her n check.....yah fun times....well welcome

The rims really made a difference on that car, looks nice. Many of us have tried to talk people out of spending a ton of money on half the HP of a V8. Some convert like yourself but others can't comprehend the concept. Have a guy here at work with a Honda fit with rims, suspension and a ton of stickers. Just can't get him to understand stickers are not a mod to brag about. I'm waiting for him to tell me he got a turbo or something. Give me more than stickers.

:lol::rlaugh::lol::rlaugh:

That guy at your work is a joke, a honda fit isn't a import you brag about it's just a mere gas sipper....If I ever seen a honda fit w/ a turbo charger I would prob die in laughter.

 I was at a gas station the other day filling up the Stang and some guy in a blue honda fit w/ 15" rims and low pro tires comes flying in with his loud fartcan muffler. It was an overweight loser w/ a basketball tank top, tatoos and a chin goatee. He comes up and says "nice car man" so I says "thanks" and he says yea, I've got that Honda Fit over there w/ an intake, down pipe, and exhaust. I say "alrigh" and he says "yea, it gets like 40 mpg's"

aw man, what a joker

yeah i wouldnt really consider a fit a tuner car. more like an eco car people are trying to make cool. wont happen. and as far as stickering up cars goes i saw a pretty stickered out mustang the other day that made me hang my head in shame. dont think he could fit another pony or ford racing logo on this convertable:( haha there is always someone doing something silly no matter what the group.

Pretty nice sig you got, how do you do it for these forums. I haven't messed with this stuff in a while, I used to play computer games and do sizing and sigs there? What is the size limit we have to use?

Terms of Service state sig images aren't to exceed 650x125 pixels. someone should set you up soon so you can have a sig. i use photobucket to host my images then post them in with the direct link by clicking the little picture with the mountains on the right side of your toolbar at the top of your replay box.

hope this helps you out.
