So i'm new to mustang forums but currently own my third Mustang. It is a 2007 GT and when i bought it, it already had BBK LT headers installed but has a catted xpipe and of course i want to go with an off road xpipe. My question is; i know Dr. Gas used to manufacture X-pipes which bolted right up to BBKs LT headers and performed MUCH better as well as sounded better than BBKs xpipes did. I am wandering it anyone knew of any other company or companies who still did the same now as Dr. Gas has unfortunately closed the doors to its exhaust division.

Thank you in advance to all who respond.

uhhh... haha! Long story short, the x-pipe that's on the car very obviously was originally an off road x-pipe. The cats that are on it are not where BBK locates them and they are HUGE and very obviously not high flow. So essecntially, i'm only trying to improve the sound and flow of the mid pipe. I just can't see forking out $150 extra for the catted mid pipe when i've already got a catted mid pipe. Furthermore, I prefer the sound of off road mid pipes and... Well, as for the never ending debate over whether or not cats affect exhaust flow or not, i'm so tired of hearing that debate that i'm sick and am not even wasting my breath anymore with the cold hard FACTS!

I was just curious - sound preference seems a good reason to me.
I apologize on that one man, I should have made it much more clear that that reply wasn't aimed at you specifically. I'm sorry if it came off like it was. I guess i'm just so tired of everyone wanting to compare shaft sizes if ya know what I mean haha! Anyways, I appreciate your taking the time to stop by and comment on my post.
