Lars, I ended up going with the Roush axle back. It was damn near half the cost of the Borla system I liked, and I actually like the sound more. Here is a youtube clip.

VERY NICE choice as far as sound goes. I'm partial to borla as that's how it sounded on all prior generations including my old mans cobra.



My only question is how much power do the roush setups add?

You confuse me brother, cause earlier you said Borlas sounded like farts. They sound almost identical between the 4.6 and new 5.0... I personally agree with the match made in heaven comment, and I think Borla does too with an $800 price tag for a damn axle back.

Im more in it for sound, as no mufflers alone will do much for a power increase. I dont plan to do a lot for power upgrades, cause its nice having 400 hp already and still average 20 mpg with mixed driving.

i respectfully disagree.. i think 4.6 and new 5.0's sound completely different..my buddy has an 03 cobra with stingers.. regardless it has 600hp but god damn that thing sounds like a monster out of a movie.

So I got the mufflers and put them on last night. I really wonder about all the raspy exhausts now, because Youtube makes this kit sound deeper and mean, and its even pretty raspy for my tastes. I dont have a vid yet, as Ive only driven to work and back today with it. It is nice to have some sound coming out of the tailpipes now though!

Finally put the wrench to mine last night. Was planning on doing my wheels/tires, springs, PHR, exhaust, and some other stuff. Unfortunately do to issues with my PHR and wheels I couldn't install them. Now my A/C stopped working as well, so I'm not having the best of luck. I got this though:

Sounds good! IDK if you can tell or not, but the tips didn't match in the video. It was driving me nuts and I crawled under the car a few hours ago and just it adjusted up a little better.
