I thought it might be helpful to show some pics of my refurbished 95 tail lights. Some guys, like me, like the look and/or do not have the $$$ to buy 96-98s. A little time and $15 dollars of materials can make a world of difference. IT may not be clear because of the sun, but these are painted with high temp gloss black.

They look good. What did you use. I always use a little 2000 grit sandpaper and mother's mag and aluminum polish.

Thanks Kurt,

I used 3m 400 grit with a light-med/light touch. After sanding both lights I wiped them both down with a cotton wash cloth soaked in rubbing alcohol (frames & lenses). After both dried I taped the lenses with blue painter's tape and gave the frames 3 coats of Rust-Oleum acrylic enamel gloss black spray paint. I let each coat dry about 3-5 minutes in the hot So Cal sun. Lastly, I let the 3rd coat dry 1 hour before untaping the lights and reinstalling them.

There are things like clear coat one can use, but that's another $5-6 I didn't want to spend. I hope this was helpful to you in some way, and thanks again for the compliment.
