Hope to find some help with this:

I have an 88 coupe, came with cable (joystick) side mirrors which no longer worked. I replaced them with electric mirrors and manually adjusted with 12v power wire. I have found the switch connector in the console, bought and installed the switch but can find no power connector going into the doors for the mirrors. The only wire from the body into the door is a speaker wire.

I have looked carefully inside the door jamb body and can find no connectors. It doesn't seem logical for the wiring harness to have a connector for the power mirror switch and no connectors on the other end of the wire.

would anyone have any input or suggestions? thanks greatly!

The wiring should already by there in the door harnesses and for the console switch. Normally it's just a plug and play thing. Sounds like somebody did some hacking. Best bet is to pull off the inner door panel and look to see if the power mirror wires are in there somewhere.

I looked in the door panel first and only found wires to the speaker. the speaker wires were the only wires going from the body through a rubber seal into the door. I took off the inside right kick panel (where the computer is) and looked all around and behind the glove box and can find no wire or clip stashed there.

I really appreciate the reply and suggestion.
