Engine 351 Cleveland Fly Wheel Teeth?? Can I Tell From The Starter??

I have a 1973 Mustang Grande. It has a 351 Cleveland 2V engine. I am not sure if it is the original motor or not. I need to know how to tell how many teeth my fly wheel has, hopefully without removing the transmission. Can I count the teeth on the starter and tell?? Or is there some other way to tell?? I do not know what transmission I have either, it is an automatic 3 speed.

Thanks a lot. That was very helpful. I now know that I have an FMX tranny. Is that a good transmission to have for street use?

it is a very good transmission, cast iron case and tough, but heavy. it was the basis for the later AOD. unfortunately there isnt much available for the FMX anymore beyond rebuild kits or shift kits.
