Pinion Seal Replacement

So my 05 has 155,000 miles and the pinion seal has started leaking a little. Not bad, but just wondering if I should pull the cover and replace all of the oil in the rear, or just top it off once I am done with the seal. If I change the oil, is there anything or special oil that I should put back in. I can do the work, I just want to get the best bang for my buck.
