The Fox Body Mustang is well known for its lightweight chassis and powerful drive train. High-powered NA, turbocharged, and supercharged vehicles produce an abundance of unwanted heat under the hood, which accelerates oil breakdown and engine wear. Protect and enhance your Mustang with the Mishimoto direct-fit oil cooler kit.

Features & Benefits:
  • Dramatic temperature drop
  • Minimal pressure loss
  • Installs in under an hour
  • Direct fit for the Fox Body Mustang
  • Thermostatic option available
  • Stealth black and sleek silver cooler options
  • Lifetime warranty

Don't know if you consider this spam or not. This company does post on here every so often, and I think they are a site sponsor, which means they probably offer a discount.

For the time he saved botching the installation he could have saved in the cost of all that extraneous braided steel line. That stuff costs a small fortune.

I think you guys are missing the point here. I have yet to see this product and am curious to know more about it and appreciate them showing it to our community. It's not like they are holding a guy to your head to buy anything but are leading you to innovation and I don't know why that is not welcome or where the mockery comes from? I think that is just flat out disrespectful to @Mishimoto !

I think this looks like a solid product and wish Mishimoto the best of luck with it!
I would be curious to see any install pictures or product related testing that you have done. Of course I'm always open to test them for you ;) This is a nice option that I could consider for my 91' GT

I wasn't trying to mock anyone, except maybe the Bosozoku community. Boso has forever scarred my brain, and every time I see an oil cooler, that's right where my head goes. @Mishimoto

Thanks! :D Please let me know if you have any questions about it, as I would be happy to help!

Thanks,

The videos in their linked page show where and how it installs. But holy balls...$460 with the thermostatic adapter option. Wow.

The pricing on our website is MSRP. Feel free to check with our distributors for more competitive pricing. Also, please keep in mind that this product is a direct-fit and comes with a lifetime warranty! :) Please let me know if you have any questions about our products, as I would be happy to help.

Thanks,

Looks like nice quality and pretty cool kit but, not $410 cool. Sorry, I have used your products in the past on imports and domestics with great success and have never had a warranty claim but, that price is almost laughable. Sorry guys....

It's a nice kit, with braided lines, nice fittings, and a well thought-out mounting bracket (albeit one that eliminates any possibility of mounting it anywhere but in front of the radiator). Meanwhile the old FRPP oil cooler kit with standard rubber hose, barbed fittings, and figure-it-out-yourself mounting brackets has been discontinued, and it was about $150. This one would be more palatable in the $300 range, and a bargain at $250.

As I said above, $410 is MSRP. Our distributors will have it available for a lower price, and maybe that will be more in everyone's price range. :)

$348.50 at Summit, Amazon (sold by Mishimoto themselves), and pretty much everywhere else. Reinforces my opinion that "MSRP" is an idiotic concept, but that's another rant for another day.
