400m In 67-68 Engine Compartment

It all depends on how far you want to go with it. The 400M is a badass motor but it takes a lot of work to turn it into the monster it is capable of becoming. There isn't a lot of aftermarket support for that motor by comparison to the other motors. If you are doing it because that is what you want to do, you can make it fit. If you are doing it because that is the motor you have right now then I'd say to go get another motor. Unless you have a specific affinity for that motor it generally isn't the way to go.

Might mention the M engines used a non-small block bell housing pattern, making transmission use sometimes difficult. They used the "385" engine pattern, as on 429-460 engines. imp

actually ther eis plenty of support for the 400m, remember that it is just a 351c with a tall deck height. so cams heads, distributors, oil pumps, etc, all interchange. about the only thing that doesnt fit is the intake, and price motorsports has the necessary adapters to use a 351c intake on a 400. so if you have a 400 and a pair of closed chamber 351c heads, you can use them with the price adapters.
