Turbo Project Complete. Humps And Bumps

So I blew a head gasket again.. got it running good, over boosted and white smoke. Oh boy did the car feel good at 15psi. Lol

I actually took the car apart so fast the head was too hot to lift off the block.

No way was I putting oe heads on again after all that work twice.. so I got some dirt cheep "speed master" aluminum heads hogged out with big valves assembled. Got some 1.7 rockers, and a .08" comic gasket.

Back at the track this Saturday! Any one with any insight on how much more I can tune with 8.3:1 compression/aluminum heads much appreciated!

Got some good weather!

Copy and paste from Facebook because lazy:
"It's not an 11. But I'll take that
.002 light.

So went 12.5 topped out well short. traps show 113mph.
I gave it another 100rpm in the tune 1° timing and 10psi. Went 12.2 traps show 116 and again topped out well short of the trap.

Long story short it's not going much faster with out gears and I'm happy with the car.

Video coming soon. It's was a black supercharged boss 302 running me down, and was I'm sure a very spectator-friendly pass."

So I'm thinking the car may have 4.10:1?

I'm pretty sure I got in to valve float on the 6350 rpm pass so I don't want to do that again. Think it's just time for gears.

Went to my first autocross yesterday and had a blast! To start the event hosts were awesome! they had a tube chassis Miata subframe and Driveline thing. The guy who tecked me in had a good laugh about a first time walk on in a 400hp stock hard parts mustang on drag radials. I mean what could go wrong?

Anyway he was awesome enough to give me a few ride alongs in the tube chassis gave me a great on track perspective, and was obviously fun. Even better he was crazy enough to ride along with me, and help me find the way.

First pass I got lost, then 2-4 I shaved a second off my time each pass. After the 4th pass I had my confidence up and was ready to do a solo full effort run.

Second turn I heard a loud bang and just pulled straight off the course. In Hine sight I'm pretty sure the passenger seat belt never retracted, and just slapped the b-pillar. anyway that got me checking over the car and I found what seemed to be excessive n Play out of the driver side axle. thinking that I hurt something in the diff I limped it home and pulled the cover. No metal shavings, everything seams good. After some reading it may be normal but can be tightened up by putting in a new clutch pack. So I did that and once I figure out how to get that spring back in it will be back in one pice.

Any way enjoy this was the 3rd pass but I found it to be most spectator friendly.

Also confirmed I have 4.10:1 gears. But, found some five star racewelds front and rear, and came with still a lot of life 28x10.5 hoosiers. 450$ I call that a deal! Was going to the track today if not for thinking I hurt the diff. Guess I need to wait until next week end to Crack the Trans.

Got the drag set up on. They don't fit, so I'll be rolling the fenders some more tonight. managed to get the spring back in the diff. Used hose clamps.

Any way here is a pic. With the drag tires on. And I'll add some fender rolling pic's later.

And now they fit. Now if it could not rain next weekend that would be great
