Nothing really, figured this thread died a harsh quick death, so I figured I'd pick.
It's not dead yet.....its only 6am in Cali...our boy probably hasn't even gotten out of bed yet...( he is still growing after all). if I can post a reply, and it hasn't got a lock on it.....its alive.

Barely.

Yeah, I have a new helper at work. He's 37 and told me how sad he was that he'll be 40 in three years........I wept inside for awhile.

So twenty is an even wiser age I guess. If I remember right, I knew most things then.

I read the original post when it had no replies.
The first post was arrogantly idiotic and didn't make any sense, so I ignored it.
Kinda surprised so many of you guys took the bait and decided to actually have a turbo conversation.
There was no way for it to go well and the reality is that judging by the original post he has no business doing a turbo in the first place.

I think that’s what we are all forgetting @Davedacarpainter
Ill agree that I was a know it all in front of my friends..but that stopped the moment i got around the older guys that frequented the speed shop i worked in.
( despite that, i still had a pretty nice 69 mach 1 that I had dumped thousands of dollars into by the time I was 20)
But, theres a difference between dumb arrogance in front of a peer group, and blatant disrespect on a web forum.

Yes sir, there is.

NOTHING about this forum guarantees that the engine is automatically a stock block 5.0.

This thread reminds me of, "Joe".

Joe aka "Boosted(somethingsomething)GT" was his screen name. He had an 87-89, I can't recall exactly. It was many moons ago.

Joe was from NewJersey. To make a long story short: He blew through a couple of motors doing things folks told him would blow it all up. Once he'd blow something up, he'd dump a ton of money into that thing and give it "more".

The very last thing I recall about Joe is that he did finally get his engine and blower combo all straightened out. Finally...

Then he launched it and put the ass of the car, flat onto the pavement while his rear wheels spit off in different directions.

I don't recall what happened to Joe. I think he ended up buying a WRX or something. I wonder if Joe is still alive. :chin

seen that happen at the track more than once.. Shooting axles upon launch

Joe was the ultimate newb disaster.
He asked questions, but still did what he wanted.
Never listened, I think that guy broke more parts in a 6 month span than I broke in 20 years.
Definitely fell in the more money than brains category.
Throwing money blindly at a foxbody just doesn't work.

He lived near me and I could have set him up with a foxbody expert locally, but he knew better...

I figured someone still around would remember Joe. :rlaugh:

Do you recall what his screen name was?

Where in Cali are you?

Alright this + your picture is something I can work with. First, let me ask you something, though: why are you here? The way you come across makes it seem like you have a singular purpose of: Answer my questions, and I don't wanna hear any :poo:, idiots.

But, this is more a community. We'd like to see your project and progress over time, and to get to know you. We don't mind helping out the courteous passerby, but even in your initial post you neither seem like the type that cares to be a regular, nor are you courteous. Also, no meaningful answer could be given due to complete lack of information. No the forum title doesn't give a clue about anything other than what year-range of Mustangs this information is likely to be used on. The engines range from little 2.3L 4cyl (with turbos from the factory) engines to stroked/bored aftermarket blocked 468+ c.i. engines, and sometimes even swapped motors from other platforms. So, you caught :poo: from a regular, and your response was to go down the tube with it. That seems pretty consistent with the kind of guy who's not going to be here in a month.

I like helping other Mustangers, most here do, but honestly I wonder why I should invest the time given the impression you've made and the direction this pretty clearly seems to be headed.
I understand the

I’ll keep you posted on the project

If that block ever makes 600 Hp, that will be that for the block.
Lol yo I know I have to change the block but you see how you got attitude if you would have said “I don’t think the block will hold you’ll have to change it” I would’ve said thank like I have will every other person that has been helpful and not rude. You guys need to fix you :poo: before coming at me for having an “attitude” and being a “20 year old” go back see if I was rude to someone who did give me :poo: right for the start when if im a “20 year old” and probably don’t know much yet you could just be cool and not dicks

I understand the
im in the Thousand Oaks area and I don’t think I’ve been rude to you once, so I just want to say that If you go back and look at some of my pst you’ll see I’ve only been rude to people been that have been rude to me. If they are cool about it, and can tell I’m just trying to learn some stuff and don’t know how to properly tell you want I’d like done because I don’t know what to tell you yet, Isn’t my fault and does my me a “jackass” or a “20 year” just ask me the question and move on. That’s it.

So then, I'm a retard because you didnt bother to read the entire library of sht that's in here regarding forced induction, and the limitations of a stock block 302?

Here Add boy, let me show you how you started your thread since you've forgotten

So, you don't want to know about anything else...you're not asking for a kit, you asked a very open question with no qualification.
No....what else will I need, no....this is what I have,....no...how much will it cost,....

Just...what turbos makes big power.

The problems here are so many and you're going about this so poorly I'm gonna list them numerically so my points wont get forgotten before you read the next one.

#1. This is a fox forum. That by itself doesn't automatically dictate what engine you have in your car. There are dozens here with every freakin engine you can stuff into one of these cars including different brand swaps. Couple to that the dozens of guys that have vastly superior aftermarket versions of a 5.0 from Ford/World/Dart/Merlin. NOTHING about this forum guarantees that the engine is automatically a stock block 5.0.
I'm on here. Does that mean I have a stock block 5.0 in a fox mustang?
#2. Stating out of one side of your mouth that you are new here, while at the same time insulting the few that bother to offer you advice is a direct path to being ignored. Or banned whichever comes first.
#3. Read. 600hp + stock block 5.0 = BOOM!
#4. Read. You aren't gonna get any help better than what you can provide for yourself. Any legwork you do for yourself as a precursor helps you to ask intelligent questions when it comes time to commit.
#5. if you want a recommendation and you can't be bothered to fill in the rest of the blanks, I ain't asking you dick.

(I'll just get on here and tell you to quit wasting everybody's time with your Gen zzz zzz " somebody do this for me, I can't be bothered" attitude.)
You can include that all in your post on what turbo you’d think I’d should go with. That’s wh6 I’m asking, What turbos do you guys know make big power? I get that my post isn’t clear I’m not super knowledgeable yet and I want to take in one step at a time and this is where I’m choosing to start, But the whole “oh he has a attitude” is bull:poo:! I’ve been chill with everyone that has just told me good information. If someones rude to me I’m gonna be rude back, if you don’t like that then don’t help I could care less.

This 'old fart' will tell you you ain't make'n 600 hp with that block, well maybe once or twice. It is a good looking stang, maybe you should shoot for a turbo and 450 hp. It could be dependable and a riot to drive.
BTW get off my lawn!!!! :D
Yo man I’m cool if you’re cool. Okay. I get I don’t know a ton yet, just help me out and don’t be rude. That’s all I’m asking. I won’t be rude if you won’t be. If you look at my post you’ll see that. I’m just looking for information on a topic that isn’t easy to pick up and learn. I appreciate the advice I’d figure the block and trans will have to go before I can make 600hp. I found a block and tran on American muscle they seem expensive but reliable and safe to buy from. If you know anywhere else I can buy from I’d appreciate it.
