Geeze. You guys are good.

I was going to keep it a secret, but that IS the swtch that is currently the front runner.

I have a few more samples in my mailbox to go through though.

For reference I used a color closest to the far right a few years ago when I did the valve covers and intake.. I could likely find the exact power# if you wanted but I think you may go with something a bit darker.

I really miss this simple reliable build..... It looked good, if I am not mistaken @General karthief has these now

Btw, this was my inspiration for the gray color. Not as dark though. Thr silver is my “safe” color if I decide to stay conservative. I have the samples sitting in the engine bay, waiting for me to decide

Nice job on the bracket! I'm a big fan of making factory parts better.

If for any reason you want a factory bracket that pulls the cable in closer to the frame rail, check out the brackets used on the clutch cables for the modular SN95 and New Edge Mustangs. They are different from the FOX3 and '94/'95 SN95 cable brackets, probably due to the width of he modular engines. Those cables are longer and tend to run into the accessory belt area when used with Windsor engines, but you might be able to find a cheap used one on Ebay to nab the bracket. MM's cable kit comes with a modified factory modular cable (mounting braket and firewall bushing removed), and I think they show some alternate routing approaches in their instructions to resolve the length issue on pushrod 5.0 applications. Your fabricated version may still be tighter, but I just wanted to let you know as a potential alternate option.

I actually did look for a bracket. Couldn’t find one without getting the entire cable. In the end, cutting and welding was quick and easy and free.

pretty sure the reason it didn’t fit was I welded up the original holes so I had to drill new ones. Guess I was slightly off, but the welded bracket fits like a glove and the cable is well away from the (ceramic) header.

dropping the upper intake off for powdercoating on Mon.

need to decide what to do with the throttle body. I don’t want to PC that, but don’t want to spend $260 on a polished accufab either. I’m using an explorer 65mm...but it needs to be prettied up a bit

Not much going on. Intake is at the powdercoater. Should have it back next week.

My bday is the 4th. It’s the big 4-0.

was supposed to be celebrating in Vegas with friends. A bunch of us, wife included, turn 40 in March. Unfortunately covid threw a monkey wrench in those plans.

Wife hooked me up with some incredible gifts.

first off, my fave whiskey
