I am wondering if there’s any intakes besides the stock mustang gt one that fits in a stock gt hood, I am going to be putting gt40 heads but want a new intake as well, but clearance is a problem apparently
I put an explorer intake on my 89 with a 3/8 spacer, the intake and heads work well together, no hood issues.
I think there may be a tic more room under a 94-5 hood.
i have cobra intake on my 95.
i would imagine most aftermarket intakes would fit without problem (assuming you remove that bracket that goes across the engine bay, cant recall the correct name for it)

opposite actually. Lower hood line forced Ford to redesign the HO and cobra intake for 94-95 for shorter height. Actually the HO intake was taken from the 91-93 t-bird

Try and score a Cobra intake from the same year. It's the same thing as a Explorer intake, but will clear the hood. Will flow way more than GT40 iron heads will.

Im running a speed master upper and lower which I've been told is a copy of an Eddy intake and the hood has plenty of clearance but the stock strut brace doesn't fit anymore.
