1998 Mustang GT Delayed Shifting at WOT

I got an automatic transmission and I haven't really seen anything that has touched up on this issue but when I go wide open throttle the rpms climb almost to 6k before finally shifting to second, sometimes me having to let off the gas or it'll pass 6k. What do you guys think could be causing this issue? because its really annoying. I got 3.73 gears installed in the rear, everything else is bone stock.

I have the same issue with my 98 auto. I just but 4.10 gears in it.
