My Mustang was stolen. The pictures bellow show the damage to the ignition lock cylinder housing. I have no idea how to approach this repair. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I am going to guess you have a 85-6 mustang from what I can see of the dash, it also looks like a tilt column ( I don't know if there is a non-tilt option) I have that model in my stash, let me look to see if that piece is replacable, get back to you tomorrow.

Thank you so so much!! It is and 86 with a tilt wheel. I truly appreciate the help!

Another reason why theft should be a PUT TO DEATH crime...... Thieves are the slimiest slime and the police basically do nothing about them or theft...

The wheels of justice move slow.
I would say cut off his hand.
I used to think this, but in America the bleeding heart system would pay the crook to sit at home because he is now " disabled"... Put em on Welfare, EBT cards, SEction 8 housing, FREE cell phone, FREE water and electricity.... Tired of MY taxes going towards this......

That went sideways fast, sorry.
Ok, can't find the 86 column I think I have, may have sold/traded it. So out of curiosity I grabbed a 97 up tilt column and broke it down to see the degree of difficulty that piece is to swap, I can say that I can swap it if need be but someone with less experience mechanically would be a head of the game to find another column.
Pm me if you want to go further.

I know this is 6 months old but I hope someone replies. I have the same issue. My ‘95 GT was stolen 11/29/21, I got it back a different color, trashed, filled with food wrappers, dog food and drugs. The ¥£€#% $@& ripped the ignition housing ALL the way down one one side. Isn’t there just an “ignition lock housing replacement” we can get? I know they have it for other cars. I don’t wanna replace the whole column. Before stolen and after pix attached. Can you pick which are which? Lol
