Hey guys,

Just got our new to us 90 vert today. I have a lot of work I want to do to it. Definitely needs a paint correction. Replacing the head lights and door striker bushings tonight.

But first thing. When I turn on the turn signal it doesn't shut off once I turn the steering wheel straight. I'm guessing the wiper/blinker lever needs replacing? I fixed one like 20 years ago and think that was the fix.

Thanks!

Well guys looking into it more. Left blinker works. It blinks on the dash and both front and rear lights blink.

The passenger side just stays green arrow on dash. And the rear passenger light does stay on but doesn't blink. Same with the front.

So maybe a relay or still the blinker/wiper lever?

You can see in this image that lighting up isn't the end:

One bulb = Two lights
One of those filaments is for brakes and blinkers. The other is for running lights.

Gotcha thanks. It is weird because the passenger side blinker light is much brighter than the drivers side.

I'll start with looking at connections to the bulbs and replace them too.

But it seems I need to replace the turn signal lever assembly because it doesn't click back after straightening the wheels.

Sorry for the mulitiple posts but it just came to mind...

Don't attempt to use LED replacements of any kind in the signal and brake light sockets on a Fox. (just in case that should come up)

The power requirements for LED bulbs are different from our incandescent bulbs.

why not use led for you turn signals? I got them and no issues at all.

Well I did change the flasher as per led instuctions.Probably why I don't have problemos.
And I use the s hit out of them, it is my daily driver.

Quick update, headed to work so just checked some stuff quick.

Ignition "on". Both turn signal blink, hazards work. I need another person to verify, but my passenger head light brights not be working. Plus the extra bright blinker light posted above is weird.

I'll check into some more stuff soon. Definitely probably replace the wiper turn signal lever assembly.

check bulb # ... back in my day people would mix 1157's & 1034's ... they have different amp ratings so would appear brighter or dimmer
then again it could be something totally different - I always like the easy stuff
there also is a turn signal canceller under the steering wheel that might be broken ,,, you of course must pull steering wheel to check that out ... they are made of plastic and prone to wear

Are you referring to the blinker wiper lever assembly? That's what I'm thinking is part of the problem. At least as to why the blinker won't shut off once I straighten the steering wheel.
