Perusing eBay,and the price for these are insane. Why are these not made in the aftermarket? I've seen anywhere from $3-600 just for spindles, crazy. Did see a set with PBR calipers, turned rotors and spindles for $430. The yards are clearly drying up with the 94-95 variety as well. I found a company that sells a big brake upgrade for the 4 lug setup kinda spendy, but after you'd buy new wheels it'd be a wash.

Price is insane because demand is starting to exceed supply. How many totaled 94-95s these days end up in junkyards? They typically now get parted out, and the folks doing that know the value. So the supply of cheap spindkes is pretty much gone.

I’ve had good luck with searching auto recyclers. Copart for instance. This is how I got my pair years ago, and how I got a pair of 96-04 spindles recently for under $100. They still charge “normal” rates for spindles, if they have them. You might have to wait a while but once in a while a 94-95 v6 does end up in a yard.

Not sure we will ever see them reproduced. The available drop spindles for our cars are in the $600-700 range, and right now still cheaper to buy the 94-95 spindles.

car-parts.com, year, model, part, sort by distance.
They appear to be between $50-$100 for most in my area. (i only searched left)

I too doubt they will be reproduced.
If you really need or want them, with a little work they can be found reasonably priced, i seriously doubt it would be profitable to repro them, especially when most guys would prefer originals anyway.

I agree with the others. Salvage yards are the way to go online. I have purchased my spindles. replacement ac compressor, and rims all from car-parts.com.

I don't have time to actually wrench so I spend my time buying parts with the hope of eventually putting them on the car. I suggest focusing on finding the parts that are not available in the aftermarket world first. Spindles, Cobra branded/Cadillac Brembo calipers, 93 Brake booster and so on. No sense paying a premium paying for something someone else bought from a salvage yard and slapped some paint on it.

Baer makes it for 4 or 5 lug and a stock spindle with a sealed bearing conversion.

For curiosity's sake, i took a look at their website.
I'm not sure if those baer kits are the same as the old school ones (i could have sworn back in the day the spindle was modified and you got a pbr 2 piston caliper), but damn those kits are expensive and they don't even come with the MC.

What suppliers are building drop spindles for Fox bodies? Thanks

AJE and Team-Z are the two off the top of my head.

One would think a 2" drop would be a bit much on a fox body.....
Totally different animal, but I used 3" drop spindles and a 4" rear drop kit ( it relocated the leaf spring mounts) on my 77 Chev stepside many moons ago..... The 454/turbo 400 combination made a great boat puller....

Way back that’s originally what they sent . Now you’d have to ask for them . You can get the 4p calipers I just got for sure with that setup .

You're dropping the height without changing the suspension geometry. I think these applications are more drag orientated anyway. I never really looked into it though.
Definitely drag car stuff as far as fox’s are concerned . We the race craft Inc ones on the race car . I wouldn’t run them on a street car

For a street strip car you want the stock spindles. You can't get as much caster with the 94-95 spindles and the stock stuff can be more stable at high speeds because of this. The only really good reason to upgrade them is if you want some budget brakes, but you will spend more money on a shorter A-arm or have to get a different offset wheel. There are so many good options for brakes with the stock stuff now, there is really not a good reason to upgrade.

So how do you stop a car capable of 130mph in the1/4?

The stock brakes do fine one stop at a time.
They fade horribly when you string together multiple heavy stops.

Most people don't necessarily change the brakes because they plan to drive aggressively or have a race car.

You go way back to the days where you only got info from magazines, they tested the baer kit vs stock brakes.
On stop 1, i think they were only 10ft apart, that's about where similar performance ended, but stop 3 the stock brakes were cooked.
