Well, finally heard back from the 20/hr job yesterday, Passed the interview, going on to do assessments, hoping for either quality control or jig loading. jig loading seems like the easiest, it's just putting metal sheets in a jig. paint is going to be my weakest area for sure - I'm color blind.

Long time no see!

I got the job. Sadly, I was given a position I was too tall to do and lost the job due to not being able to do it. Considering a lawsuit for discrimination because they easily could have put me in another position but refused to do so.

Some unfortunate things happened. My MX-3 got hit in the parking lot while pulling in. Someone decided they didn't want to wait and pulled out, causing an accident to their right rear. I have their name, they're an employee, but the company refused to give me further information, just said "We were able to locate the owner and saw the accident, but we're not going to give you the license plate, video, or let you talk to the person who caused the damage." Feels like obstruction but that's one I'll let slide because it would cost more to pursue than the cost of damages and I sold the car due to the accident (it was totaled).

There was one good thing that happened. I actually bought another car. I couldn't afford a mustang in decent condition, but I got a killer deal on it and could not say no, also paid cash.

Flat out couldn't believe I got this plate.'

So now i'm sitting here like... Do I honda K24 swap, LS swap, or Ford 302 swap from monster miata? Was there a 302 or similar all aluminum engine of value? maybe toss around the idea of an LS again? The 1.6 is healthy so no worries, just a very, very slow oil leak but have to drop the power plant frame out of the car to fix both the oil pan leak and the front main seal leak.

Plenty of info out there for the 302 changover. Remember Speed network's guy whats his name....Stacy has videos and where to get the kit.
Gearz Stacey David
Full episodes are now on YouTube. I wonder if he did not get renewed at Mav TV or RT (formerly Speed)? Except for too much goofy laughing in some seasons, I have and appreciated his show since it was Trucks.

The 302 Miata is a well detailed how to build. Must be a nice ride with all that agility combined with the 302 power. If our girl here is that tall she better hope it's a convertble so she can look out over the top. Nice to see you back, and ready to get building.

yup! I've seen them. I'm looking at 302 options, which ones are best, which ones are lightest, are they all interchangable. They also have a relatively inexpensive LS kit too.
No LS!!!!!! Lol
I remember the Monster Miata kits from the early 90’s. They were using the Mustang 5.0 at the time.
At this stage, they may be more on par with the Factory Five guys that are building kit cars with all the available SBF engines. I haven’t really looked into it in a while.

I'd like to do the ford pats cus the initial buy in is the same as the K24, but the K24 is going to weigh less than the factory 1.6, and can get me to my 500WHP power goals with fuel, a bolt on TVS2300, kit and some upgraded valve springs/cams, AND i can swap it in in stages cus it won't blow out the stock rear end or transmission if I don't boost it straight off.

The dilemma becomes a choice between more power up high in an easily streetable build with an 89" wheelbase and a lighter than stock vehicle or do I add a bit of weight and have a higher power ceiling, that I may or may not ever hit or be able to use anyway?
