It's just a catch-22 ..... it's cold so you get lots of snow which causes problems (roads, business',and everything closing) which is a pain.. if it warms up the snow melts and causes flooding.

FYI - it is supposed to be 60 by the weekend
Unlike Texas.....WE don't close down for a few inches of snow.....and even our "blizzard" last week of 23" only closed down non-essential services for less than 24 hours.............
Same thing for our flooding.....being that we are surrounded by water, it either runs of into the ocean/L.I. Sound, or it soaks into the ground............the roads are already drying up...
BTW, the biggest cause of flooding has been the over development of what was once farmland, leaving less open ground for the water to soak into........................
