I just got a donor fox body no motor. My old one is a Maf (89 GT) and the new one is a 88 LX. I need to know if I need to take all the wiring out of my old car for the new one to make it MAF.

I dont have the car here att, but wouldnt I just take the harness out of the 89 and put it in the 88? I dont remember if the donor car had the harness mentioned above but I will check tomorrow since i pick it up then. I bought it for $100 rolling chassis. used to be auto but I have a t-5 from my gt along with the H.O. 5.0 so I am set in the power portion. now i got to find someone who wants a GT rolling chassis minus a few interior parts as well.

Well, it is in Hawaii so if that doesnt bother then the reason for the conversion, besides liking LX better, is that I cannot register the car b/c the guy i bought it from had bought it from the owner whose name is on the pink slip and that guy signed in the wrong spot on the pink slip. Basically saying he is a leinholder. Which I dont htink is true b/c I now possess the pink slip and car. This guy moved off island (prolly back to the mainland) and I cant find him to have him sign the bill of sale. Also, I dont think the car will ever leave the island b/c I think you have to have the title... SO... if you want all this trouble then write back. I might have a friend who wants it as well and he is on island so I need to ask him first. But I should tell you I think shipping form the island is around $800 and in my opinion not worth it. I also dont want anyone else to deal with the headache I have had....

Mike,

BTW nice fox, looks like you have a lot of work into that. Hopefully within the next year I will have my engine rebuilt and running into the 12s too

Thanks. It has Draglites now. It looks way better. I just don't have a digital camera anymore to take pics.

The Gt you posted needs some TLC but it is fixable. But the Hawaii thing is a little much for me.

Yeah I thought it would be, sorry about that. I jsut hope the car doesnt go to waste. I have been looking for a fox body for a long time and found this one for $800 and it just needed a new clutch. Someone painted it and looks like they did a terrible job prepping it and the paint fell off. I just hope it doesnt end up at a metal recycling place or a scrap yard. I am going to see if someone wants it for a track car or something. If they just tow it I will prolly give it to them. After I have taken my parts off of it of course LOL!
