What is the good and the bad about long headers and short ones? Also so what is the best set of headers i can get for the cheaps price,or should i just go with ebay?
Actually, I recently found out this may not be true in a lot of cases... According to a recent Car Craft article (Dec. 2003) comparing headers, shortys actually made as much as 23 hp more than long tubes (+11hp at peak), and only sacrificed a max of 7 lb-ft of torque (and that was up to 3600rpm, at which point the shortys made more torque than long tubes). This may actually make shortys a better choice, especially for a traction limited car like our Mustangs.Jonstantine said:long tubes make more power

Could that be another "Timless Wisdom"?
