How much Oil?

OK guys...this may seem like a very stupid question, but need to know how much oil a '98 Mustang V6 is supposed to hold. My girlfriend hasn't changed her oil by herself(her dad does it), and I'm gonna do it. My 5.0 holds 5 quarts, and I believe that her car holds something near that...all I know is that there is no time to lose, I'm changing the oil today for her because she's like 4000 miles over due....any help is greatly appreciated.Thanks.

try the instruction manual. if its the same as the 02, it will take 5.5 qts. i know they changed the upper part of the engine (intake etc...) but I believe the rest remained the same? as I said, check the manual or use the "SEARCH" button.

actually 98's only use 5 quarts

Yup 5 is correct.

it takes five quarts or when ever the dip stick reads full, My 2.5L probe takes five with a filter same with the stang

the 99+s take 5.5? Hmm, I've used 5 every time and its been right where it is supposed to be on the dipstick.
