Steeda Springs/Tokico HP Combo

Does anyone have experience with Steeda Sport Springs combined with blue Tokico HP shocks and struts? I was originally planning to go with Bilsteins but I've heard that the Tokicos have a slightly less harsh/firm ride.

Also, have any of you had problems with bottoming out on speedbumps, etc. with the Steeda springs?

Thanks,
Will

I've got the MRT suspension kit that comes with Steeda springs and the Tokicos... Ride is perfect to me. You can definitely feel the bumps in the road but its still pretty forgiving. A lot more in control than the stock suspension... especially when its got 63k miles on it... :notnice: No problems bottoming out or anything.

I'm in the process of installing the Steeda springs now, but I'm using KYB AGX adjustables. Put the rears on Friday and will be doing the fronts tomorrow. However, I just had to drive the car to see how the shocks felt. I had set them at 7 (out of 8) and the ride was a little harsh. Backed them off to 6, and they felt a lot better. If you're interested in the KYB's, email me later in the week after they've had a chance to settle or whatever.

[CHEESY ANNOUNCER VOICE]Are you cheap? Would you like to save some money on the Tokico "blues" by buying some that are black and packaged in a Ford box with Tokico stickers on them? If so act now and get your very own set of OEM Mach I shocks for only $195![/CHEESY ANNOUNCER VOICE]

All joking aside, if you want a set of Tokicos and save yourself a few bucks, look into the Mach I shocks. They are the Tokico premiums with slightly different valving than the ones sold through the aftermarket. I have a set with my H&R Supersports on my '03 GT and couldn't be happier with the performance. Unless the pricing has changed on the aftermarket versions, the ones you can get through Ford are much cheaper. They come in a Ford box and are black with Tokico stickers on them instead of being blue.

http://www.fordpartsnetwork.com/03Cobra.htm Scroll about halfway down where the Mach I section starts. It lists the part numbers for the shocks and struts. I have ordered from this place a few times and the service is top-notch.
