I'm getting to the end of the line on this problem...

The car has been driving like trash for the last couple of days and the engine light came on today with a P0301 which is Cylinder 1 misfire detected.

I checked the cable on 1 and it looks fine. I replaced the spark plug. And I just replaced the Ignition Coil on that side. It still misses when i drive it...any ideas? :bang:

Well it looks like you checked everything that would cause that misfire. One other thing that you might want to check it happend to me. Check your plactic intake for crackes you might have a antifrezze leak and its getting into you sparkplug. :nice:

I'll take a look at it...is there anything else that could cause misfire symptoms?
I just put a new tank of gas in, and i ran some fuel injector cleaner through the tank within the last month or so.

do you have fouled plugs? misfires can happen also if the air/fuel ratio is too lean. maybe you have a compression problem in that Cylinder. blown head gasket could cause the problem too.

things you can look for...

hope that gets you in the right direction. if you can get that thing on a scanner and watch the sensors and see what voltages are present, and look at the pulse width of the injectors, and the o2 sensor voltage... if you can get the car on a 4 gas machine. it will tell you if you have a lean or rich condition as well as tell you what engine efficiency you car has.
