A few days ago I test drove an 03 Cobra :hail2: and was very impressed with the solid stock feeling of the shifter.

When returning to my GT I really felt how long and sloppy the shifter is :notnice: .

Will the Tri-Ax give that crisp feeling or am I pretty much out of luck unless I get a T56?

I have to agree after market shifters to stock are like night and day. The newer tranny is likely smoother but teh shifter will make a big change.
I have a B&M Ripper with adjustable stops( I add the word stops) because I have seen rippers with no stops, I like it, but your choice is said to be even better.

I have heard that the T56 is a smoother (and quieter) operating transmission, but a Tri-Ax will give you such an improvement you'll feel like a schmuck for not doing it sooner.

I've bought both - the Pro 5.0 for my 02 GT with the Tremec, and the Tri-Ax for my wife's 01 with the T-45. My preference - easily, the Pro 5.0. The throws are much shorter and much more precise, more race-car like than the Tri-Ax in the 01. The Tri-Ax is nice, but it is more like stock. Just my 2 cents...
