What's a good Intake system?

  • Sponsors (?)

ive heard people say that they suck up a lot of leaves and water with it...so i wouldn go that route. best intake system would be a ram air like the cervinis ram air hood has...but thats expensive because you have to buy a new hood. but on a stock car simply removing the air silencer from the stock air box is a good enough upgrade

I have heard of people having problems with the march kit. In dry weather I think it would be ok if there isn't a lot of dust and leaves but in the wet don't bother. My brother worked on a car with one of these that went through a puddle and it really damaged the engine. Your best bet is to get a K&N air filter and take all the stock stuff out.

well, it is all gonna be downhill after that.

do be careful if the inlet mounts real low - watch puddles and flooding - dont want to hydrolock the motor.....good luck.

i used bbk looks great, however i would be skeptical to say you would notice a difference anyway you went. if you want looks and whatever little performance it may add, get bbk. they are reasonable priced. otherwise just remove the silencer. i liked the CAI simply because of all the room it cleared under the hood, plus the looks. IMO
