Debating on what brand X-pipe to buy?

Hey, I desperatly want to get rid of my h-pipe for an x-pipe but do not know what brand to buy. I really dont want to pay $300 for bassani, but I will if need be. How are Magnaflow, UPR, BBk, and other brands. I also do not want Dr. Gas, I do not want to have to weld. What do you guys suggest?

I bought the Mac x-pipe and it fit like a glove. I love the sound and power.

I had a bassani on my 99 and it was nice. I just recently put a UPR X-pipe on my 88. Much better fit than the BBK H-pipe that I had been running.
UPR copied VRS and have their pipes made in Canada for $34.00 a set. They do fit well but do not have as good of quality as the VRS. Also they have cheaper flanges that tend to bend when you tighten them down.

Honestly, there isnt going to be much difference between the x or the h. Are you trying to lose cats or something? The reason bassani is so great is because it can be had in stainless steel which doesnt rust but weighs a lot. An x-pipe is an x-pipe and I dont care what anyone says. Any kit that doesnt require welding is going to work just fine since I seriously doubt any company with a name is going to sell something for a common car like the mustang and not have it fit right. I think most people on here use brand names as bragging rights or that they have an X over an H because H's are old school man. If your current setup is not leaking or rusted through, then spend your money elsewhere. Besides, that question has been asked 1 million times and its the same thing everytime, "Everybody wants to be Mr. Black and everyone's a tough guy so nobody backs down."

My old dr gas for longtubes needed welded together also. I dynoed the dr. gas and bassani back to back on my 370rwhp 306....the graphs overlayed each other. I never liked the sound of the pro chamber i had.

I am trying to decide or find out which will sound better with Spintechs side exhaust with their Sportsmans. One guy told me an h-pipe cause thats what he had on his Fox with the same mufflers and other people say to get x pipes for Spintechs. Im thinking about a little of both with the prochamber. Any advice?

89sleeper, who has good tailpipes i can buy for my 95? I like the stock style slash cut but just want something bigger cause the ones i have look tiny.

You seem to know your stuff.....thanks for your help.
No problem. Dynomax has really good 2 1/2 inch mandrel bent stainless steel pipes. They look to be the best that I have seen.
